1 श्रील शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने कहा: हे राजन! भगवान विष्णु के दूत नीति तथा तर्कशास्त्र में अति पटु होते हैं। यमदूतों के कथनों को सुनने के बाद उन्होंने इस प्रकार उत्तर दिया।
2 विष्णुदूतों ने कहा: हाय! यह कितना दुःखद है कि ऐसी सभा में जहाँ धर्म का पालन होना चाहिए, वहाँ अधर्म को लाया जा रहा है। दरअसल, धार्मिक सिद्धान्तों का पालन करने के अधिकारीजन एक निष्पाप एवं अदण्डनीय व्यक्ति को व्यर्थ ही दण्ड दे रहे हैं।

1 महाराज परीक्षित ने कहा: हे प्रभु! हे श्रील शुकदेव गोस्वामी, आप पहले ही (द्वितीय स्कन्ध में) मुक्ति-मार्ग (निवृत्ति मार्ग) का वर्णन कर चुके हैं। उस मार्ग का अनुसरण करने से मनुष्य निश्चित रूप से क्रमशः सर्वोच्च लोक अर्थात ब्रह्मलोक तक ऊपर उठ जाता है, जहाँ से वह ब्रह्मा के साथ-साथ आध्यात्मिक (वैकुण्ठ) जाता है। इस तरह भौतिक जगत में जन्म-मृत्यु का चक्र समाप्त हो जाता है।
