Due to the severe cyclonic storm, sea water has entered the ISKCON Gangasagar temple. The storm winds were not devastating, but due to the storm surge the sea level is at a height of at least 6-7 ft. The temple has become flooded with sea water. Gaura Nitai and senior devotees have shifted to a safer place. Please review the above details of what has occurred in the temple. Support is greatly needed now to restore the temple to functioning order. We need your prayers

अध्याय पैंतालीस - कृष्ण द्वारा अपने गुरु पुत्र की रक्षा (10.45)
1 श्रील शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने कहा: यह जानकर कि कृष्ण के माता-पिता उनके दिव्य ऐश्वर्य से अवगत हो चुके हैं, भगवान ने यह सोचा कि ऐसा नहीं होने दिया जाना चाहिए। अतः उन्होंने भक्तों को मोहने वाली अपनी योगमाया का विस्तार किया।
2 सात्वतों में महानतम भगवान कृष्ण अपने बड़े भाई सहित अपने माता-पिता के पास पहुँचे। वे उन्हें विनयपूर्वक शीश झुकाकर और आदरपूर्वक “हे माते“ तथा "हे पिताश्री“ सम्बोधित करके प्रसन्न करते हुए इस प्रकार बोले।
3 भगवान कृष्ण
*अनावश्यक को आवश्यक के रूप में विवेचन करना मन का स्वभाव है। मन कृत्रिम आवश्यकताओं का निर्माण यह मानते हुए कर लेता है कि वह इनके बिना नहीं रह सकता। इस प्रकार आसक्तियों का एक विशाल बोझ हम जीवन पर्यंत ढोते हैं। आसक्ति अपने आप में हमारे मन के ऊपर एक विशाल बोझ है। जब तक हम इस बोझ से छुटकारा प्राप्त नहीं कर लेते, तब तक कदापि हम इसके प्रभाव की व्यापकता को नहीं समझ सकते। परंतु यदि हम आंतरिक आनंद प्राप्त कर लें, तब हम इन अंतहीन जटिलताओं से मुक्त एक सरल जीवन व्यापन कर सकते हैं *

2 एक दूसरे के हाथों को पकड़कर और एक दूसरे के पाँवों को फँसाकर ये प्रतिद्वन्द्वी विजय की अभिलाषा से बलपूर्वक संघर्ष करने लगे।
3 वे एक दूसरे से मुट्ठियों से मुट्ठियाँ, घुटनों से घुटनें, सिर से सिर तथा छाती से छाती भिड़ाकर प्रहार करने लगे।
4 प्रत्येक कुश्ती लड़ने वाला अपने विपक्षी को खींचकर

1 श्रील शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने कहा: हे परन्तप, नित्य शौच कर्मों से निवृत्त होकर जब कृष्ण तथा बलराम ने अखाड़े (रंगशाला) में बजने वाली ध्वनि सुनी तो वे वहाँ यह देखने गये कि क्या हो रहा है।
2 जब भगवान कृष्ण अखाड़े के प्रवेशद्वार पर पहुँचे तो उन्होंने देखा कि कुवलयापीड नामक हाथी अपने महावत की उत्प्रेरणा से उनका रास्ता रोक रहा है।
3 भगवान कृष्ण ने अपना फेंटा कसकर तथा अपने घुँघराले बालों को पीछे बाँधकर महावत से बादलों जैसी गम्भीर गर्जना में ये शब्द
