The question may be raised why a living being should be restricted in sense gratification. If a king, to learn how to kill, may go to the forest and kill animals, why should a living entity, who has been given senses, not be allowed unrestricted sense gratification? At the present moment this argument is put forward even by so-called svāmīs and yogīs who publicly say that because we have senses we must satisfy them by sense gratifica

I would like to know if there are any temples in India who are able to respond to the recent flood disaster in Pakistan.
The latest information from the New York Times states:
UNITED NATIONS — One of the largest humanitarian relief efforts ever attempted is now mobilizing to help Pakistan cope with what its government and U.N. agencies are calling the worst natural disaster in modern memory. The death toll is much smaller than in past disasters: About 1,600 are believed dead so far.
The word Guḍākeśa has great significance which itself describe a devotee of Lord Krishna.
In this verse (1.24) Arjuna is referred to as Guḍākeśa.
Guḍākā means sleep, and one who conquers sleep is called guḍākeśa
Why Arjuna has been referred as Guḍākeśa : Sleep also means ignorance. So Arjuna conquered both sleep and ignorance because of his friendship with Kṛṣṇa.
Significance of word- Guḍākeśa for a devotee: It has been described by Srila Prabhupad in Purport that As a great devotee of Kṛs

"Of all yogis, he who always abides in Me with great faith, worshiping Me in transcendental loving service, is most intimately united with Me in yoga, and is the highest of all." (Bg. 6.47) So one who thinks of the Supreme Lord always is the greatest yogi, the supermost jnani, and the greatest devotee at the same time. The Lord further tells Arjuna that as a ksatriya he cannot give up hisfighting,
Love is our life; everyone wants to love. Everyone is hankering to love
someone. But we do not know where to place our love. Krsna, however, is the
ultimate object of love. We are trying to maintain this body, but the body
is not actually the proper object of our love. Rather, it is the life within
the body that is the real object of love. Similarly, the central point is
Krsna. As soon as we somehow or other place our love with Krsna, our path of
happiness, eternity and bliss opens.
Srila Prabhupada, f
Destiny is extremely strong
This is an example of destiny. King Saudasa was condemned by the curse of Vasistha, and therefore even though he was well qualified he could not restrain himself from becoming a tigerlike Raksasa, for this was his destiny. Tal labhyate duhkhavad anyatah sukham (SB 1.5.18). As one is put into distress by destiny, destiny can also put one in a happy situation. Destiny is extremely strong, but one can change destiny if one comes to the platform of Krsna consciousness. Kar

Spiritual knowledge descends through the disciplic succession from Krishna. The representatives of the disciplic succession can not change anything, add anything or subtract anything. Otherwise the disciplic succession will be broken and their preaching will have no potency. Many times in the history this disciplic succession has been broken because the representatives of the disciplic succession did not correctly pass on the knowledge to their students.
We can understand how perfect knowledge ca
