Long, long ago, there was an assembly of great sages on the bank of the River Sarasvati who performed a
great sacrifice of the name Satrayajna. In such assemblies, the great sages present usually discuss Vedic subject matters and philosophical topics, and in this particular meeting the following question was raised: The three predominating deities of this material world, namely, Lord Brahma, Lord Visnu and Lord Siva, are directing all the affairs of this cosmos, but who among them
is the Supreme

On Speaking Strongly in Srila Prabhupada's Service

What to speak of direct preaching outside, there is much need to speak candidly inside also. Many standards within our movement have become diluted since 1977. Srila Prabhupada kept us in line when he was here. Nowadays, among some devotees, anything goes. Going to movies, eating karmi food, wearing T-shirts with non-devotional themes -- somehow everything has become "okay." They do not like to use words that we learned from Prabhupada, like karm

On Speaking Strongly in Srila Prabhupada's Service

Strong preachers change lives. This is their ecstasy. They may have to fight with people at first. But the strong preacher relishes again and again the nectar of seeing apparently impossible materialists becoming convinced about Krsna consciousness. The pious compromiser can never know such transcendental pleasure, even after years of smiling at people.

"This is all too negative," the whining compromiser will protest. "We have to be more positive.

By the blessings of Srila Prabhupad and all the Vaishnva's ISKCON Visakhapatnam Second Rathayatra festival turned out to be very successful with thousands of people attending the program.

The 33 ft high Ratham with a collapsible canopy was tastefully decorated with very beautiful flowers and balloons. There were five different kirtan mandalis apart from our local devotees singing kirtans. A.P. Chief Minister's Son-in -law,along with DIG Soumya Mishra and two other Business tycoon inaugurated the

At this stage of life, the physical instability of our existence becomes more apparent and the exit from our field of activity of our near and dear ones becomes accelerated. Already this year we have seen

complete their transits, and three days ago we just saw Sriman Vicitravirya Prabhu do likewise. We have to expect it, disease is part and parcel of material existence.

Yet sometimes even devotees become bewildered when a great

"Horrible" death?

Horrible death

It is a very profound topic. I'm writing just some thoughts based on theSrimad Bhagavatam and Srila Prabhupada's teachings. The most importantprinciple in regards to your question is that the Lord is supremely independent. Sometimes he chooses to give an obviously auspicious death to adevotee and sometimes he chooses to give a so-called tragic death. In bothcases he is protecting the devotee, according to what is best for the devotee and for those around his devotee (i.e. mainly ot

I wish to add my feelings of loss at the shocking news of the sudden disappearance of Aindra Prabhu in the Krishna Balarama Mandira in Vrndavana. He was truly the "emperor of kirtana," and had hundreds of devotees aroundthe world who looked up to him as their siksa-guru. By establishing the 24-hour kirtana in Krishna-Balarama Mandira, Aindra Prabhu fulfilled an expressed desire of Srila Prabhupada. It was not easy to assemble a team of devotees who filled a 24-hour schedule of continuous kirtana,

Accidents

Dear Devotees
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to SrilaPrabhupada. Of course we know that in the scheme of things there are noaccidents. But still we have the old addage "An ounze of prevention isworth a pound of cure."
In the last few years in Vrndavan, we have had three major gascylinder accidents, two within the last year, and two fatal. The non-fatalone had the potential to blow up the entire gurukula building because 5other cylinders were near enough to cause a big problem.

My dear devotees,
Please accept my humble obeisances.
All glories to His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada! All glories to HG Aindra Prabhu!
My assistant called me from India, when I was on the way to the airport in Burma, and asked whether I heard about Aindra Prabhu. With the kind of tone in which he enquired, I thought of the worst, and it was true. Aindra had left us behind. I was shaken, shattered and shocked. I thought of flying to Vrndavan, but the arrangements could not be made in time. Unfortu

Distress - A Great Favor of the Lord

The fact is that everything is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, manifested in varieties of energy. Ekam evadvitiyam brahma. There is no second existence. The Divine Encounter

From HH Sacinandana Swami's Newsletter Amrta-vani

The Divine Encounter

For your personal advancement I would like to suggest a powerful meditation with which you can establish a conscious connection with Sri Sri Radha and Krishna.
In this world there are many things that divert us from our relationship with God - things that focus us on other relationships with other people, our job, society, our dreams, etc. All these relationships are like smoke; one day they will simply float away into the air.

WHO NEEDS TO PERFORM HARI-NAMA-SANKIRTAN?

In Kali-yuga no other devotional activity supersedes the currentlyprescribed yuga-dharma, hari-nama-sankirtana. Indeed, all other dharmasand all the various adjunct angas of bhakti must subordinate themselvesto the service of the yuga-dharma to be deemed at all conducive, so faras the proper progress of the Krishna consciousness movement isconcerned. All doings connected with Lord Caitanya’s sankirtana movementmay be accepted as sankirtana, or facets of

Details about the gas leak

His Grace Aindra Prabhu used to stay awake whole night doing bhajan and for that he had made his room sound proof and also air proof, with A/C. Even the window had a glass which cannot be opened. This he had done even for his kirtan recordings. As per devotees, he had more than 1000 shilas, Radha-Krishna, Gaura-Nitai deities, with small kitchen from them in his room.

The day he left his body: He had gone to market to some buy things and he came around 10 pm. On the way to his room, he greeted so

“NOT A BLADE OF GRASS MOVES WITHOUT THE SANCTION OF THE SUPREME LORD”—A TRIBUTE TO AYENDRA PRABHU

RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED BY BHAKTI MADHURYA GOVINDA GOSWAMI (ACBSP) (MAKHANLAL DAS GOSWAMI)

The news of the sudden departure of Ayendra prabhu certainly comes as a great shock, as I am stunned along with all the devotees of the movement. There was certainly a great feeling of disbelief as I was given this report. He was my personal friend, as well as mybeloved God brother. There are undoubtedly devotees

At 4.00 PM, the dead body of H. G. Aindra Prabhu was brought to the Krishna-Balaram Temple, Vrindavan from Mathura Hospital. The body was bathed, dressed up and garlanded at 5.00 PM.
