leaders were preparing to participate in the “dwajaarohanam” (flag ho

Prabhupada Knows Everything

Sometimes devotees see me, a sannyasi, and ask, "How have you become so spiritually advanced?" Of course, I know more about my position than they do. Simply officially taking sannyasa is no cure for the nonsense mind. One thing, though, is that I never doubted anything Prabhupada said. I know that everything Srila Prabhupada says is right. Prabhupada knows Krsna; therefore he knows everything. If anyone thinks that Srila Prabhupada made a mistake, then he made a mistak

Jivan Mukta….jivan means alive and mukta means liberated. Liberated while alive. So we want to teach people how to spiritualize their consciousness.

Actually Narada Muni, he was chanting Hare Krishna and when he died, it is s

On Representing Srila Prabhupada

Nowadays I'm getting many letters, mostly from people met on preaching travels or who have read my books. Many ask for advice, and I reply, advising as Srila Prabhupada advised us. The replies are often filled with tremendous gratefulness. People become so enlivened to get what seems to me straightforward advice like, "Try to chant Hare Krsna attentively and read Srila Prabhupada's books every day." So much affection is being showered on me through the mail. I har

1. One day, the priest of the Yadu dynasty, namely Gargamuni, who was highly elevated in austerity and penance, was inspired by Vasudeva to go see Nanda Maharaja at his home.

Are You a Human Being...?

"People are being a human being, we should be concerned not to neglect this opportunity we have to fully develop our consciousness.

Why someone would take animal birth? Of course one thing would be thinking about the animal at the end of life. Other thing is to develop a consciousness which is more suited to the next birth being an animal birth, than a human being.

Like say somebody is drunk all the time, or something, that's just always in a stooper. They're not, they don't want to be very consci

On Remembering Srila Prabhupada

I personally felt the presence of Prabhupada very strongly in the early days of our preaching mission in Bangladesh. There were but few devotees, and we were spread thin. I had to spend weeks and months without strong association. It was underground work. There were many difficulties. I had to call to Srila Prabhupada for help, and that was the only thing that helped me to keep going.

Once I was traveling alone in Bangladesh, undergoing many difficulties, compounded
