On Speaking Strongly in Srila Prabhupada's Service
The preacher is the carrier of the Absolute Truth. It is his duty to tell people the truth. Unless devotees tell them, how will they ever know? Our message has to be explicitly presented to clearly distinguish it from non-Truth. In so doing, we should not be afraid. Even if people dislike us, or even if other devotees criticize us, Krsna will protect us. Krsna is God and He wants His message propagated. Surely He will protect His loyal servants.
The loyal servant of the Absolute Truth is required to be the active opponent of all violent enemies of the Truth. It is his imperative duty to protest against the violence of non-theists in uncompromising terms and take all consequence of such protest. (The Harmonist, October 1931, page 113)
Dr. Patel: You have been bracketing so many good people with the bad, and I feel strongly about this philosophy of yours.
Prabhupada: Where are good people? All rascals! Let them come! Yes! I shall kick on their face!!! I am so strong. Where is good man?! I have already kicked that Bala Yogi. He's a dog! In a public meeting. If anybody is a Mayavadi, he's a dog. Kick him on his face!! 740223mw.bom
Sometimes devotees protest, ''Srila Prabhupada could speak forcefully because of his stature and realization. But we should not imitate him.'' They accuse the stalwart preacher of false egotism, look for faults in him, and then point out his inadequacy in comparison with Srila Prabhupada. As one under such accusation, I have no hesitation in admitting the obvious: I am not on the level of Srila Prabhupada.
But Srila Prabhupada did not say that we have to become as pure as him before we could speak as plainly as him.
