Sanatan Dharma - The Only Religion !

Sanatan Dharma

The Only Religion Of The World

There is no ritual of "conversion" in Sanatan Dharma because you don't convert to it, you can only return to it.

So when you feel you've lost your way and when you realise that what you left behind was true happiness and joy, then you return home, to Sanatan Dharma.

Thought Of The Day

Prabhupada: Guru more murkha dekhi' karila sasana [Cc. Adi 7.71]. Caitanya Mahaprabhu also presented Himself as idiot number one. He said to Prakasananda Sarasvati. Prakasananda Sarasvati asked Him that "You are a sannyasi. You do not read Vedanta and You chant and dance. What is this?" So He answered, guru more murkha dekhi' karila sasana. "My guru found Me a fool number one, so he has chastised Me, 'You rascal, You are fool, You cannot read Vedanta. You Chant Hare Krsna.' " So it is good that

I'm God, You're God, But Who Is The Supreme God?

Everyone wants to become God, imitator. Imitation. Therefore they say, "Why Kṛṣṇa shall be alone God? I am God."

You are God. That's all right. But you are not the Supreme God. Why you forget that? You may be a God at home of your wife, but when you go to your office, you are not god; your master is god. He directs you to do something; you have to do it.

So we may claim that "Every one of us, we are God," but nobody can claim that "We are supreme; I am Supreme God." That is not possible. That

what does Gaudiya Vaishnavas believe??

2514930682?profile=original are the followers of the mystic avatar Sri Chaitanya (1486-1534). Sri Chaitanya worshiped Radha and Krishna and popularized the practice of kirtan (congregational chanting of the names of God). His followers revere him as an incarnation of Krishna, prophesied in the later chapters of The Srimad Bhagavam, who appeared to teach the path of Bhakti.

Sri Chaitanya taught the belief in one supreme God, the ultimate manifestation being in the form of Krishna, accompanied by Radha, whose power and majes

Over the last one year I have been gett

Dancing in front of Deities

Hare Krishna,In my initial years I used to wonder why, or even how, devotees dance after the morning Guru puja. I would place them as sentimental devotees, priding myself as the one who is here for the serious knowledge. I still remember, at Punjabi Bagh temple, some devotee would try to pull me in and I would reply with a lame shrug. Of course, I never danced in my whole life, was an introvert and on top of it I am gifted with two left feet.Bewildered, one day I finally asked one senior devotee

Lectures with deep philosophy

Hare Krishna.Till now, I would always `judge' devotees based on how they would give lectures. Similarly when some `simple' lecture would be going on I would get impatient and would pray that Prabhu ji will soon discuss something important or `deep'. It is only recently that I realised how foolish I was, or rather I am, that most of the time the limitation is not with the speaker but with the listeners. An intelligent speaker always see who is the general audience, he then speaks according to wha

Thought Of The Day

Prabhupada: You can do the best to train your child to become Krsna conscious. That is in your power. That you can do. That is the best service, not anything else. That is not possible. If you become yourself Krsna conscious, and if you try to make your son Krsna conscious, that you can do. And that is the duty, real duty. Other things, you cannot do anything. That is destiny. And if you make him Krsna conscious, then destiny can also be changed. This is the concession of Krsna consciousness. De

Struggle with Sex Desire

Transcription By: Shalini Ahaluwalia Mataji

Edited By: Murlidhar Prabhu (Murli Thundi)

Question: If bhakti gives us higher taste which makes lower pleasures insignificant then why do sometimes even senior devotees struggle with sex desire?

Answer:  There can be many reasons for this. First of all, sex desire is a very deep-rooted desire and it takes time to get purified of that desire. It’s not just a desire of this lifetime but has been going on for many, many lifetimes. Th
