On the occasion of Radhastami, I wish each and every devotee of Radha-Madhav, a very Happy and Prosperous Radhastami.
And on this day ,I present a poem( in hindi and braj) which I want to humbly offer to Radha-Damodara.
Manmohan murli mein madhu bhar,
Vrindavan bhatkat le Radha ka naam.
O Giridhari! O Banvari! Bhatkat kyun aviram.
Nayan Neer bhar, jharat hain jhar jhar.
Shyam bolat hain mridu jharat madhu.
Radha kit hain bol Subala.
Mharo man hain vyakul.
Kaha gayi braj ki bala?
Baje run-jhun swar.
Radha ki ghungru.
Nayan neer bhar,
Khule kesh,adhkhule nayan.
Radha kahat bhayi,
Main aaj Shyam Bhayi.
Aaj Tum Radha,Main Shyam bhayi.
Meaning:-
Manmohan is filling the flute with the nectar of His lips. He is wandering in Vrindavan taking the name of Radha.
"O Giridhari! O Banvari! Why you are wandering like that?" asks Subala.
His eyes are filled with tears which is flowing out continuously. He is speaking in low and sweet voice just like honey.
He asks Subala, " Where is Radha? My heart is aching to meet her.Where is the girl of Vraja?I can hear the tinkling sound of her Ghungru."
Krishna's lotus eyes are filled with tears of joy when He watches Radha approaching Him . His hairs are open and loose and eyes half-opened.
Radha says,"Today I have become Shyam(Krishna). Today You are Radha and I have become Krishna."
