Ram possesses all the qualities of a superhero

Royal traits of ultimate prince, monarch or pharaoh

Reverent to all, eager to help and listen

With a service attitude acting on what’s given

His build is admirable, countenance grave

A task he’ll tackle meant only for the brave

अध्याय तेरह – महाराज निमि की वंशावली (9.13)

1 श्रील शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने कहा: यज्ञों का शुभारम्भ कराने के बाद इक्ष्वाकु पुत्र महाराज निमि ने वसिष्ठ से प्रधान पुरोहित का पद ग्रहण करने के लिए अनुरोध किया। उस समय वसिष्ठ ने उत्तर दिया, “हे महाराज निमि, मैंने इन्द्र द्वारा प्रारम्भ किये गये एक यज्ञ में इसी पद को पहले से स्वीकार कर रखा है।"

The Maharashtra Padayatra reached Pandharpur dhama on January 26, 2021. We were welcomed at the entrance of the dhama by the devotees and our spiritual master, Lokanath Maharaja. It was a great moment. I jumped from the chariot to offer my obeisances to Gurudev and as I stood up, he put a garland around my neck. 1 श्रील शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने कहा: महाराज खटवांग का पुत्र दीर्घबाहु हुआ और उसके पुत्र विख्यात रघु महाराज हुए। महाराज रघु से अज उत्पन्न हुए और अज से महापुरुष महाराज दशरथ हुए।

1 श्रील शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने आगे कहा: राजा अंशुमान ने अपने पितामह की तरह दीर्घकाल तक तपस्या की तो भी वह गंगा नदी को इस भौतिक जगत में न ला सका और उसके बाद कालक्रम में उसका देहान्त हो गया।

2 अंशुमान की भाँति उसका पुत्र दिलीप भी गंगा को इस भौतिक जगत में ला पाने में असमर्थ रहा और कालक्रम में उसकी भी मृत्यु हो गई। तत्पश्चात दिलीप के पुत्र भगीरथ ने गंगा को इस भौतिक जगत में लाने के लिए अत्यन्त कठिन तपस्या की।

3 तत्पश्चात माता गंगा राजा भगीरथ के समक्ष प्रकट होकर बोली, “
