In the sastra it is said, advaitam acyutam anadim ananta-rupam [Bs. 5.33]. Krsna has ananta-rupam. Therefore every rupa is expansion of Krsna's original rupa. The original rupa is Krsna. Krsnas tu bhagavan svayam [SB 1.3.28]. Then there are so many rupas: Rama, Nrsimha, Varaha, Balarama, Parasurama, Mina, Tortoise, Nrsimhadeva. Ramadi-murtisu kala-niyamena tisthan [Bs. 5.39]. He's always existing with different forms, not that he is existing only in Krsna form.

SYNONYMS

yat--whatever; yat--and whichever; acarati--does he act; sresthah--a respectable leader; tat--that; tat--and that alone; eva--certainly; itarah--common; janah--person; sah--he; yat--whichever; pramanam--evidence; kurute--does perform; lokah--all the world; tat--that; anuvartate--follow in the footsteps.

TRANSLATION

Whatever action is performed by a great man, common men follow in his footstep

A girl sitting with her friends in a bus responded to the offer of a Gita: "I have a Bhagavad-gita at home, I don’t need another one."

I asked whether she had Bhagavad-gita As It Is.

She arrogantly asked, "What does it matter? They're all the same."

I replied, "Well, all buses are the same, but you are sitting only on this bus."

She said that this is because she had to go to the place where this bus goes and the other buses, though they look like, don’t go there.
