Sandipani Muni Krishna Dasa has spent ten years traveling the world, sharing the teachings of Krishna consciousness through kirtan, distributing Srila Prabhupada’s books, and personal interactions. Growing up in a devotee family and attending Gurukula at Bhaktivedanta Manor in the United Kingdom, Sandipani’s spiritual path was deeply influenced by his upbringing.
As a young man, he drew inspiration from the famous missionary spirit of Tribhuvanatha Das, who dedicated his life

The Bhaktivedanta Research Center (BRC) is delighted to announce the latest release in its acclaimed Vaishnava Studies Series: a reprint of Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura’s Chaitanya Mahaprabhu: His Life and Precepts. First published in 1896—the same year as Srila Prabhupada’s appearance—this historic work marked one of Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura’s pioneering initiatives to spread the teachings of Lord Caitanya to the Western world.
In October 1896, Srila Bhaktivinoda Tha
Srila Prabhupada came to the Western world to give us the holy name. He did so on the order of his spiritual master, with full faith in the holy name, that if people like us would just chant the holy name, everything else would follow.
Srila Prabhupada had a godbrother named Akinchana Krishnadasa Babaji, whom Prabhupada said was a paramahamsa, a liberated soul. Babaji Maharaja approached another godbrother of Prabhupada’s, who had been sent by Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura to England

The phrase “culture of distraction” has been around for a while. I guess I was just too distracted to notice it.
We’re constantly bombarded with so much information that focusing on anything is extremely difficult. Economists wonder how that affects productivity in the workplace. Psychologists wonder what it’s doing to our minds.
Controlling one’s mind is the purpose of yoga, and Krishna consciousness is the yoga of bhakti, or service to Krishna with love. As with any type

All ISKCON temples and communities around the world are called upon to organize special prayers and kirtans this Sunday, December 1, asking Lord Krishna to protect our devotees and all religious minorities in Bangladesh.
The international ISKCON Governing Body Commission Executive Committee (EC), under the Chairmanship of Guru Prasada Swami, and with the support of the global Communications Ministry, is calling upon all devotees and friends of ISKCON to join together this Sunday at ISKCON temple
The Bangladesh High Court on Thursday rejected a plea seeking to ban the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in the country. The petition, filed by Supreme Court lawyer Md. Monir Uddin, cited newspaper reports alleging misconduct by ISKCON and called on the court to curb its activities. However, they declined to take any action, emphasizing the absence of substantial grounds to justify such an extreme measure. Judges urged the government to take necessary steps to curb the o
I have written several articles on vows and feel that any discussion on vows wouldn’t be complete without addressing sexual restraint. Plus, men often ask me how to control sexual desire and I felt that to do justice to this question I would need to write an article.
I am approaching this issue mainly from the male perspective (obviously because I am a man and also because the scriptures approach it more from that perspective). Still, although men and women are wired differently and thus respond

The Glorification of the Holy Names is the Great Benediction for all the World’s Theistic People
Lord Chaitanya is not merely a prophet or messenger. We accept that He is the Supreme Lord appearing to give His great benediction upon the human society. By observation, we can understand that those of the Christian religion, those of the Islamic faith, those of the Jewish faith, and other theistic religions are rarely likely to give up their passionate faith in God according to

The Supreme Lord is said to be ‘Sachidananda Vigraha‘ in the revealed scriptures. ‘Sat‘ means eternal, ‘Chit‘ means fully cognizant and ‘Ananda‘ means joy, and ‘Vigraha‘ means specific Personality. Therefore the Lord or the Supreme Godhead who is one without a second is eternally a joyful per
In an ideal society where individuals are God-conscious, the legal profession would be redundant. However, the inherent nature of Kali-yuga ensures that pride, envy, and hypocrisy will persist. Therefore, it's essential to address these topics, particularly among Law college students.

Recently, the Duluth High School auditorium in Duluth, Georgia, USA, was transformed into a lively spiritual haven as GitaWise hosted its annual day celebration, an extraordinary event dedicated to the reverence of Lord Krishna. The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) expresses deep concern over the volatile situation in Bangladesh, particularly regarding the safety of Hindu minorities and members of our Hare Krishna ISKCON community. I recently heard a woman say, “least but not last.” She meant to say the usual, “last but not least,” but somehow, due to a slip of the lip, or perhaps because of some mild form of dyslexia, she inverted the words in this somewhat humorous way. And this got me thinking about humility, which people sometimes confuse with low self-esteem, thus viewing it as an inferior quality. To think of oneself as “least” is the last thing one would want to do.

The hero of India’s epic Bhagavad Gita, Arjuna, is at a crossroad. He is intelligent, well-intending, and overwhelmed by a dilemma we all might recognize: the apparent incompatibility of worldly responsibilities and other-worldly aspirations. Arjuna is a warrior who feels the call to a more peaceful, non-invasive life. On the verge of a mammoth war he refuses to fight, even though the enemy is an aggressor who must be brought down. Like Arjuna, once we acknowledge the call to a more enlightened

I really enjoyed the Diwali festival held at Sattair Community Centre.
To get there I chose to trek there via a piece of the Trans Canada Trail which flies through the forest. I just completed a poem which will appear in my next book, “ The Walking Monk: Poems 2”.
Forest Bathing
You may enter with a dirty mind
Host in spirit, perhaps to another time
By the end of the stretch
You feel less of a wretch
In understanding that forest bath
Down a soft green path
Well, it may not be green
But a mu
