Devotee Care is one such initiative by ISKCON that takes care of the devotees and embeds the culture of care using different platforms. Their vision and mission is to provide contentment to the devotees both spiritually and materially by looking after their diverse emotional, spiritual, physical, and social needs. The idea behind the project is to help devotees feel valuable and comfortable
The new Devotee Care Team started in New Vrindaban, West Virginia in April 2021, is providing resources, assistance and association for residents of the large rural community.
The team is run by Lilasuka Dasi, a disciple of Srila Prabhupada who first moved to New Vrindaban in 1980 and has served there as a day school teacher, communications director and handcrafts store owner; and Beverly Nava, who came in 2016 and has served as restaurant manager and HR representative.

Sometimes ISKCON members think about ISKCON as an institution, or as the “leaders” of the temples, or the GBC, or someone else other than us. We expect ISKCON to care for devotees, and we may feel hurt or disappointed when care is not given as we would expect or as we would like. ISKCON is a society made up of members.
