My Memories of Srila Prabhupada
The second darsana was the famous interview with Mike Robinson of the London Broadcasting Corporation, a local radio company. Devotees were already crowding the room when Mr. Robinson entered. Mukunda Prabhu (now Mukunda Goswami), who was organizing the meeting, asked him if he wanted the devotees to leave while it was conducted. But Mr. Robinson didn't want to put others to trouble for his sake, and even though Mukunda asked him twice, he insisted that it was alri
My Memories of Srila Prabhupada
During this visit, Srila Prabhupada accepted several new candidates for initiation, including me. On the following Janmastami, our GBC, Hansaduta Prabhu, conducted the initiation ceremony on behalf of Srila Prabhupada. I was given the name Ilapati dasa brahmacari.
The second time I saw Srila Prabhupada was in England in 1976. Srila Prabhupada stayed about four days, and I was able to go on one morning walk with him -- the only morning walk I ever got to go on with S

My Memories of Srila Prabhupada
Upon seeing Srila Prabhupada coming slowly and majestically down the stairs, the devotees waiting outside the temple room
immediately bowed down. Everyone except me. I thought, "Let me see Prabhupada." Srila Prabhupada was glowing, literally.
He looked more grave than anyone I had ever seen before. I just stared at his divine form for a few seconds, and wanted to
go on and on just looking at him. But knowing and feeling it to be improper not to bow down, I also offere
PRABHUPADA'S QUOTE OF THE DAY
"Today, 15th March, now it is 7:35, gone, as soon as it is 7:36, you cannot bring back that 15th March, evening, 7:35, again. Even if you pay millions of dollars, "Please come back again," no, finished. Canakya Pandita says, "Time is so valuable that if you pay millions of golden coins, you cannot get back even a moment." What is lost is lost for good. "If you such valuable time spoil for nothing, without any profit, just imagine how much you are losing, how greatly

Once some devotees were sent to establish a preaching center in Bengal. They
worked day and night, equipping it as a beautiful temple. When Srila
Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati arrived to install the Deities, he was very
pleased and asked about one brahmacari who had worked hard on the
preparations.
The disciples told him, "Master, he became entangled with a lady. We rebuked
him so much for his behavior that h

ISKCON Pakistan Visit to Hindu Shrine Nurtures Peace
As negative media and public reaction greet the first formal talks between Pakistan and India since the Mumbai terrorist attacks of November 2008, could spirituality prove a more effective healing process?
Three months before the Delhi meeting of Indian Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao and her Pakistani counterpart Salman Bashir yielded no breakthrough
The material world is but a shadow. If we hold our hand against the light it casts a shadow image. The shadow image is like an outline of the hand. It doesn't show the qualities of the hand, such as the hair, the skin, or the fingerprints. It is only a vague form.
Similarly, in the material world, what we see as admiration, servitorship, friendship, parental affection, or conjugal affection, these are all like incomplete shadows of their real form.
Just as the hand has so many variegated qualitie
Hare Krsna my dear devotees, I hope your week of chanting has been blessed with nice realisations and also that you were able to focus on the sound vibration of the names.
Today was the cooking service day, so I woke up early chanted some rounds and started preparing everything for the offering of the day, the boys helped me bathing the Deities and doing the arati, we still have this mercy of growing our own spicies and flowers for Krsna. We offered a beautiful jasmine flower and cooked with rose
