Profile Information

Name / Initiated name
Aspiring Gurus Name: HH Radhanath Swami Maharaj
Daily number of rounds of Hare Krishna mahamantra.
16 rounds everyday
When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?
I started chanting the mahamantra in 2003. Initially I came to know about the philosophy through Back To Godhead Magazine, later I joined HG Sankarshan Prabhu ji's free online course.
Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.
Radha Rasbihari temple, Juhu, Mumbai.

HG Siddhi Lalasa Mataji
Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.
My aim in life is to be the kind of servant my Guru Maharaj (HH Radhanath Swami Maharaj) wants me to be like.

I derive my inspiration from HG Radheshyam Prabhu and HG Gauranga Prabhu (both will be my godbrothers in case I receive Guru Maharaj's causeless mercy in form of initiation!!). Both of them are such fantastic and wonderful devotees and preachers, I am sure anyone who has heard their lectures would agree. I often see myself as a young girl trying to imitate her elder brothers (both Gauranga Prabhu and Radheshyam Prabhu) so as to please her father (my Guru Maharaj!!)

I thus seek the blessings of all vaishnavs and vaishnavis so that I can reach my aim.
What are your expectations from this community?
I expect this website to be a forum for discussion of Krishna Katha and not prajalpa.
Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?

A Lesson Well Learnt!!

Posted on June 13, 2009 at 8:05pm 0 Comments

This post could well be titled “Inspiring Devotees Part II” but just for the sake of it I decided to change it a little. Before I relate the story let me write in something about my own self –

When I had just started chanting and was quite new to the philosophy I aspired to become a Gopa in Goloka Vrindavan, that because I am not very fond of girly chores that keep the Gopis busy all day besides Krishna spends most of His time with the Gopas so that was it I wanted to be a cowherd… Continue

Words of Wisdom from Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura!!

Posted on June 6, 2009 at 11:52am 0 Comments

1. We are put to test and trial in this world. Only those who attend the kirtana of the devotees can succeed.

2. Every spot on earth where discourses on God are held is a place of pilgrimage.

3. Possession of objects not related to Krsna is our main malady.

4. Let me not desire anything but the highest good for my worst enemies.

5. As dalliance with the body in luxury increases, so wanes the spirit of service of the Lord.

6. Those favored… Continue

Inspiring Devotees!!..!!

There are few things I am proud of one of them is the fact that almost all of my God brothers and God Sisters who I have met so far are very sincere and serious devotees. They inspire and encourage others in the path of Bhakti and hence I look up to them. This pride however is mixed with the aspiration of being like them some day, well! hopefully someday soon.

I wish to share a little incident of how a grihasta couple comprising of two aspiring disciples of my Gurudev, in their own… Continue

All Roads lead to Krishna..

If you are in India and you mix around with people at large or ocassionaly even switch open the idiot box and come across religious channels like sadhana, shradha or whatever, you will not fail to notice that how people so fervently follow some Guru or some organization. These Gurus may offer either Nirvana, Salvation, Sense gratification or ocassionaly Bhakti. In such situations what dawns over my mind is what Krishna says in Bhagvad Gita -

Every one is on a path to… Continue

Sri Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead full of all opulence, and His complete opulences are exhibited only in Braja-dhama. Braja-dhama is made of transcendental touchstone. Its entire surface is the source of all valuable jewels, and the cintamini stone is used to decorate the lotus feet of the maid of Vrindavana. Vrindavana is a natural forest of desire trees and creepers, and the inhabitants do not want anything but the fruits and flowers of those desire trees. “In Vrindavana there are cows that fulfill all desire (kama-dhenus), and their number is unlimited. They graze from forest to forest delivering only milk. The people want nothing else. In Vrindavana, the natural speech of the people sounds like music and their natural motion resembles a dance. The water in Vrindavana is nectar, and the brahmajyoti effulgence which is full of transcendental bliss, is directly perceived there in its form.”

Qualities of Srimati Radharani 1. She is very sweet. 2. She is always freshly youthful. 3. Her eyes are always moving. 4. She is always smiling. 5. She has auspicious markings on Her body. 6. Radharani attracts Krishna by the aroma of Her fragrant body. 7. She is an expert singer. 8. She speaks very charmingly and sweetly. 9. She is expert at telling jokes that please Krishna. 10. She is very humble. 11. She is very merciful. 12. She is very intelligence and witty. 13. She dresses very nicely. 14. She is very shy. 15. She is modest and honest. 16. She is completely patient. 17. She is very grave. 18. She always wants to be with Krishna. 19. She is always on the highest devotional platform. 20. She is the abode of loving affairs in Gokula. 21. Her transcendental glories are distinguished in the three worlds. 22. She is affectionate to Her superiors. 23. She is obliged to Her senior girlfriends. 24. She is the chief among Krishna's gopi girlfriends. 25. She always keeps Krishna under Her control. The word Radha means “the greatest worshiper of Krishna.” Since Radha’s love is the greatest, She gives the greatest pleasure to Sri Krishna.

The beauty of Srimati Radharani is described as: “Her eyes defeat the attractive features of the eyes of the cakrai bird. When one sees the face of Radharani, he immediately hates the beauty of the moon. Her bodily complexion defeats the beauty of gold. Thus, let us all look upon the transcendental beauty of Srimati Radharani.” Therefore while chanting hare krsna by the grace of Srimati Radharani we get the transcendental pleasure in our core of Heart.
