WHAT I FIND MOST BEAUTIFUL IN THIS WORLD.

As the famous saying goes " Beauty lies in the eyes of the Beholder". So no doubt our conception of beauty may differ a lot from others. Nonetheless, it is a pleasure sharing with you my idea of beauty. Poets, writers authors all have been glorifying the beauty of this world since time immemorial. But i pity those who think that beauty is just skin deep. The most beautiful things in this world are felt more than they are seen. .Have you ever experienced the feeling of the morning dew o

Ahimsa- Slaughter Free milk

2514841539?profile=original

Organic milk from cows that will be retired to a sanctuary once their milking days are over is starting its first deliveries this week in north London and surrounding areas,  bringing about a revolution in milk production.

No cow, calf or bull will ever be slaughtered to bring this quality product to the breakfast table and they will instead be protected for life, ensuring families can be confident no animal suffers to bring them milk.

The breakthrough has been made possible by the Ahimsa D

Being Immortal

Matter changes in six phases: birth, growth, maintenance, production of by-products, dwindling, and death. But the life within matter, the spirit soul, is eternal; it goes through no such changes. Life appears to be developing and decaying, but actually it is simply passing through each of these six phases until the material body can no longer be maintained. Then the old body dies, and the soul enters a new body. When our clothing is old and worn, we change it. Similarly, one day our bodies beco

Chanting Tips

Complete concentration is necessary. Otherwise your rounds are done, butthey aren't done well. You're just trying to get the job done, like afactory worker. You get the credit that "I chanted my rounds," but therewill be far more credit if you chant with the right quality. Attentivedoesn't mean only that you don't fall asleep or that you don't leave off a"Hare," but it means being attentive to how Krsna may reveal within yourheart more understanding of the holy name. But you have to concentrate.

Need for Creation.

Q. Somehow, the words "I Am" and "I created this World for my Play" seem inadequate to explain creation. Where did this God/Divine Light come from? Why is God there? Why all this Play? Why did we souls come into existence, even before we came to this earth? I read in Back To Godhead a very beautiful article on why and how we souls came to the earth - the article was like a story where it was said that we souls wanted to enjoy separately from Krishna and Krishna, out of His Compassion and Love, s

Trnad api sunicena

Thursday, 16 October 1972 - Vrndavana, India

Although Srila Prabhupada was separated from his beleagured disciples in Australia by a vast distance, still his thoughts were on their many problems. Srila Prabhupada had been lecturing morning and evening on The Nectar of Devotion at the samadhi tomb of Rupa Gosvami located in the open courtyard of the Radha-Damodara temple. That morning, Srila Prabhupada, was speaking of Jagai and Madhai, two arch opponents of harinama sankirtana.

Just before the beginning of Kali-yuga—or, in other words, at the end of Dvapara-yuga—Lord Sri Krsna appeared and left His instructions in the form of Bhagavad-Gita, in which He asked all living entities to surrender unto Him. Since the beginning of Kali-yuga, however, people have practically been unable to surrender to the lotus feet of Kåñëa, and therefore, after some five thousand years, Krsna came again as Çré Caitanya Mahäprabhu just to teach the entire world how to surrender unto Him, unto

Jhulan Yatra - swing festival of Radha-Krsna

2514841461?profile=original

Radha Govinda Jhulan Yatra - the swing festival of Radha-Krsna. The Deities ride on an elaborately decorated swing. Starting on the Ekadashi of waxing moon of Sridhara month, many temples in Vrindavan celebrate Krishna's swing festival, some for one day, others for more days. Traditionally many of the Deities of the Lord wears various clothing with green in it over this period until the Balaram Purnima. Again it is a practical festive service that the devotees provide for the Lord. Monsoon is so

Who is Sri Advaita Acharya

Today is the most auspicious and sacred day. It is the day of the divine appearance anniversary of Srila Advaita acarya – one of the divine members of the Pancha Tatva. It is said in Caitanya-Caritamrita “panch tattvatmakma Krishnam bhaktarupsvarupkam bhaktavataram bhaktakhyam namami bhyaktasaktikam”. This means that Lord Sri Krishna appeared in this Kali Yuga, the age of quarrel and hypocrisy, in five features.

Question: How to Know that Gita is Authoritative?

Please accept my humble obeisances

My question is:

How can we know that the Bhagavad-gita As It Is is truly the words of Krishna, that it has not been changed in any way?

Rohan

Answer: Carefully Transmitted by Great Authorities

The Bhagavad-gita was spoken to Arjuna by Lord Krishna 5,000 years ago on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. Srila Vyasadeva, the compiler of the Vedic wisdom, is an incarnation of God and thus has the divine power to perfectly kn

Offenseless chanting

Offenseless chanting awakens one's original dormant Krsna
consciousness and is the beginning of sadhana-bhakti:
The process of devotional service—beginning with chanting and hearing—
is called sadhana-bhakti. This includes the regulative principles that
are intended to awaken one to devotional service. Devotional service
is always dormant in everyone's heart, and by the offenseless chanting
of the holy names of the Lord, one's original dormant Krsna
consciousness is awakened. This awakening to Krsna co

Reciprocation

Its' a fact that Krishna helps the devotee in
all respects.  Even though we have forgotten the Lord for countless
lifetimes, still He remains with us and waits for us to reciprocate
with Him.  This is His pure love for every living being.

mama vartmanuvartante

As all surrender unto Me, I reward them accordingly. Everyone follows
My path in all respects, O son of Pritha.  (BG 4.11)

One mistake of Judgment

"One mistake of judgment often made by the neophyte devotees is that any time there is some disturbance or some difficulty they are considering that the conditions or the external circumstances under which the difficulty took place are the cause of the difficulty itself. That is not the fact. In this material world there is always some difficulty, no matter in this situation or that situation. Therefore simply by changing my status of occupation or my status of life, that will not help anything.

Syamasundara Das: How can the Vedic principle of receiving guests that you mentioned be practically applied in today’s day and age, because people will take undue advantage. . . .

Maharaja: Yes, the society has become so degraded in a way it may be difficult to practice, but in the ideal situation Prabhupada is saying that after the offering is made, the householder would go out on the street and
loudly announce that if anyone is hungry please come and be my guest. In a society like that there can

During Guru-puja there were just few devotees in the temple room.  Is prasadam more important that SrilaPrab
