भगवान कपिल ने अपनी माता देवहूति के पूछने पर इन्द्रियतृप्ति के बन्धन से मुक्त होने तथा दिव्य साक्षात्कार के लिए भक्तियोग का ऐसा सरल वर्णन किया जिसे एक स्त्री भी भलीभांति समझ सके व भगवद्-धाम वापस जा सके (स्कन्द 3: अध्याय 25-33):

भगवान कपिल कहते हैं: जो योग पद्धति जीवात्मा को भगवान से जोडती है, जो भौतिक जगत में समस्त सुखों तथा दुखों से विरक्ति उत्पन्न करती है वही सर्वोच्च योग पद्धति है (25.13)

SYNONYMS

SYNONYMS

sanjayah uvaca--Sanjaya said; iti--thus; arjunam--unto Arjuna; vasudevah--Krsna; tatha--that way; uktva--saying; svakam--His own; rupam--form; darsayam asa--showed; bhuyah--again; asvasayam asa--also convinced him; ca--also; bhitam--fearful; enam--him; bhutva punah--becoming again; saumya-vapuh--beautiful form; maha-atma--the great one.

Not many people know about it, but Janmashtami, which marks the birth of Lord Krishna, is celebrated in a big way in a sacred place for the Muslim community in Rajasthan.

A three-day festival is organised at the Dargah of Narhar - also known as Dargah of Sharif Hazrat Hajib Shakarbar - situated near Chirawa in Jhunjhunu district, about 200 km from Jaipur.

"This festival is being organised here for the last 300-400 years and people of all communities come here. A main aim of this celebration is to

Tṛṇād api sunīcena taror api sahi… If you preach Kṛṣṇa consciousness, so many people will chastise you. The government will not allow you to go on the public street, and you’ll not get visa.
