Mahaprabhu has taught in Çikñäñöaka (Cc. ädi 17.31):
tåëäd api sunécena taror api sahiñëunä
amäninä mänadena kértanéyaù sadä hariù

So the devotee must be clean, inside and outside, both. Outside cleaning by taking bath, washing the body with oil or soap or soda, and inside, inside, materially, there will be no unclean things, stool, unnecessary stool. The night fell heavy in the heights of the mountains and the man could not see anything. All was black. Zero visibility, and the moon and the stars were covered by the clouds. As he was climbing only a few feet away from the top of the mountain, he slipped and fell in to the air, falling at great speed. He could only see black spots as he went down, and the terrible sensation of being sucked by gravity.

What is diksa? The guru gives divya-jnana and takes the sinful reactions of the disciple:
Diyate, ksiyate, something is given, something is taken; that is diksa. According to
what? According to the guru’s capacity. But diksa is not dependent on formalities or a
ceremony. It is not a one-time affair. It is an on-going process. One is admitted in the
school of diksa. One is a real diksa-guru only if he can both give this divya-jnana and

How has Srila Prabhupada commented on this verse? The order is to preach to
everyone. To preach to everyone does not automatically mean to become their diksa
guru. “It is better not to accept any disciples.” It is said that in the presence of better
qualified gurus one should not venture to accept disciples. (Hari Bhakti Vilas) And
even when the order to become a guru is given, it doesn’t mean it must be
immediately taken up. Look at Srila Prabhupada’s example. Look at Srila Gour
Govinda Maharaja.

This is very nice challenge. Suppose if somebody, if you say that "We are Kṛṣṇa conscious persons." So one may challenge you, "First of all, explain what do you know about Kṛṣṇa?" That is quite natural. If you do not know about Kṛṣṇa, you have no right to say that "I belong to the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement." You have not right to say. So your position is like that, simply if you have a tilaka and a kaṇṭhi, that does not mean that you belong to the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement. Any cheater can
