Strong Ropes of Affection

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

by Radha Govinda Goswami

he all-powerful Supreme Lord shows that He can be
conquered by the power of His devotees' pure love.

The Vedic scriptures describe how Krsna, the Supreme Lord, enjoys eternal pastimes with His devotees, both in the spiritual world and in this world when He periodically descends. Because Krsna wants the deepest loving exchanges, in the intimacy of love for Him some of His purest devotees forget that

The Superintendence of God

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

We should always know that God is ever kind to us. Despite our gross disobedience to the laws of God's nature, the Lord is kind enough to look after our maintenance. Water is one of the most important items for our maintenance, because without water we can neither produce food grains nor quench our thirst. Water is also required very liberally for many other purposes. Thus the Lord has preserved water on three fourths o

Thought Of The Day

So bhakti-marga is not very difficult. Very easy. Man-mana bhava mad-bhakto mad-yaji mam namaskuru [Bg. 18.65]. Any child can do it. Any child, if he sees the form of Lord Krsna in the temple, he remembers, and he continues to think of Krsna. Man-mana bhava mad-bhakto. And if you think of Krsna always, automatically you become devotee. Man-mana bhava mad-bhakto. And then mad-yaji, little offering. Patram puspam phalam toyam yo me bhaktya prayacchati [Bg. 9.26]. Where is the difficulty? Little fl

Desperate Need

-         are chalu! Chalu! Chalu!

The female voice pushed me from behind. It was fast train from Mira Road to Churchgate.

It was crowded but somehow I entered to the train thinking if I miss this train I will be late for the Gaura Arati at Chowpatty Mandir.

Then I thought 'oh my God! I am so eager to see You…!' with these thoughts I started to chant my rounds (or murmer, who knows?!).

My ears were plucked with ear plucks, seems I wanted to hear only the Holy Names. But no!

Thought Of The Day

Guru means one who can deliver me from this duhkhalayam asasvatam [Bg. 8.15]. Maya... We are in the duhkhalayam asasvatam [Bg. 8.15], but under the influence of maya we are thinking we are living very very happily, or we not trying to solve the question. No. This kind of solution will not help you, because you have to die. Whatever you make solution, Krsna says, mrtyuh sarva-haras caham [Bg. 10.34]. Cry for the mercy!

By associating with those who have more faith or by praying to Lord Caitanya, Srila Prabhupada said we should cry for their bhakti and mercy. But if you are not able to cry for their mercy then we should cry that we are not able to cry for their mercy...and if you cannot cry for not able to cry for their mercy then you should cry for not able to cry for not able to cry for their mercy...... THE REAL PURPOSE OF HUMAN LIFE

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

By Niraj Bidawatka

When the Pāndavas were living in exile, ayakśa asked Yudhisthira, the eldest Pāndava about the greatest wonder of the world. None of the other Pāndavas – Bhima, Arjuna, Sahadeva and Nakula – could answer this question. However Yudhisthira gave the correct answer. He replied that everybody is seeing that so many people aredying every day but still everyone is thinking that “I will not die”; this is the

8.4 MILLION SPECIES OF LIFE

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

By Niraj Bidawatka

According to the Vedas, there are 8.4 million species of life and the conditioned soul is continuously passing through the different species according to his karma, under divine supervision. The Bhagavad Gita (2.22) says that just as one gives up an old shirt to put on a new one, the soul gives up an old body to acquire a new kind of a body (vasāmsi jirnāni yathā vihāya). Thus there are 8.4 million (84

Thought Of The Day

So actually we are in the darkness. This whole world is dark. It is... It requires, therefore, the sunlight, the moonlight, the electric light, the fire, the lamp, because it is dark. Because it is dark. But there is a spiritual world where here is no need of. Na yatra bhasyate suryo na sasanko na pavakah. In the Bhagavad-gita you'll find, na yatra bhasyate suryah. There is no need of this surya. There is no need of surya. Surya is required, the sun is required, because this world, material worl
