The Global Devotee Care Directorate is happy to share the inauguration of a weekly Devotee Care webinar series called ‘Vaishnava Seva’ – an effort to emphasize a culture of devotee care in ISKCON temples and communities.
We will be moderating conversations with senior ISKCON leaders, administrators, and caregivers etc.
We will interview HH Jayapataka Swami who is an ISKCON GBC and Co-Minister of the Congregational Development Ministry on the “Importance of Devotee Care for Preachers involved in
The higher planetary systems have heavenly planets where one can enjoy, but above these celestial planets are planets of sages – the Maharloka and the Tapaloka, and ultimately the Brahmaloka. So, the Maharloka is the residence of the manus according to the Brhad-Bhagavatamrta. So the manus are basically prajapatis – they are forefathers of mankind. In the beginning, the universe is empty and only Brahma is there within the universe. Then from the mind of Brahma, various sages manifest and finall

Govardhana Dasa was born in Durban, South Africa, and first met the devotees in 1982. Although attracted by their harinamas, he was reluctant to take a copy of The Science of Self-Realization from them, but after reading the first sixty pages, he instantly became a vegetarian and started chanting Hare Krishna. Saved by Srila Prabhupada’s books, Govardhana Dasa remains connected to them to this day: he began by distributing them and now serves as a trustee of BBT Africa and as a global BBT trust

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began in March, ISKCON temples worldwide have been in lockdown, unable to connect with their communities or give spiritual knowledge to newcomers in person, and instead shifting these activities online. Without in-person outreach activities, the last few months have also seen temples struggling to maintain themselves, with centers in Italy, Franc
Mayapur Management would like to express heart felt thanks and gratitude to HH Bhakti Charu Swami, who has inspired his followers, disciples, well wishers and devotee community worldwide through Youtube video appeal requesting donations for Mayapur, during this difficult situation. Following Maharaja’s appeal, we are receiving donations and many devotees have recorded their emotional sentiments and affection to HH Bhakti Charu Swami in their offering note. This shows how Maharaj holds Sri Mayapu
bhramara nyāyaḥ (bumblebee)
The bumblebee drinks only nectarous honey from flowers. It is not interested in anything else.
This is similar to swan mentality described in nīrakṣīra viveka nyāyaḥ. There are many other animals, which are very much fond of impure and obnoxious substances, like swines, worms, dogs, cats, and the rest. By my own eyes I saw a small child passing stool on the side of the road, while the hog was waiting. As soon the child finished, the pig quickly run to eat the stool, be
Syamananda Prabhu, a disciple of Hrdaya Caitanya, established the temple of Sri Radha-Syamasundara in Vrndavana.
Sri Syamananda, Srinivasa and Narottama Dasa Thakura are eternal associates of Sri Gaurasundara. For the purpose of preaching the holy message of Sri Caitanya all over the earth they appeared in this world.
Sri Syamananda father’s name was Sri Krsna Mandal. His mother’s name was Sri Durika.
After some time the boy took initiation from Hrdaya Caitanya Prabhu and was named Krsna das. He

Hare Krishna community delivers free meals to health care workers and other hungry people around Gainesville.
Krishna Lunch has been a staple at the University of Florida (UF) for nearly 40 years but, like many things, coronavirus brought the daily campus tradition to a swift halt. Now, the meals are being distributed to other hungry folk.
Since March 30, Gainesville’s Krishna House has provided over 4,000 free meals to health care workers through their “Health

How the Farmer Left the Field
Five workhorses stood in the field, in contrast with the yellow hills behind them. They took their languid stance; the farmer had no more to do with them. If the farmer went near the fence at any time, they became alert. He knew he would surrender his attention to them, so he kept a distance. Horses have keen sight, sense of smell and hearing, and are sometimes horribly startled, so they were not always to his liking. When they were young he

In the UK, the Hare Krishna Festival team has stayed at home and stopped all their outreach activities since March 23rd due to COVID-19, a hard time for devotees used to distributing the Holy Name.
From June 1st, however, the UK government has begun to ease restrictions slightly. Up to six people are now allowed to gather in public or private outdoor spaces without wearing masks, as long as they remain two meters (six feet) apart.
The allowances have spurred the Hare K
In difficult times like these, I feel the urgent need for Srila Prabhupada’s books to be distributed in large numbers, for only such literature can enlighten people how to proceed in the right way.
Srila Prabhupada’s preface to Srimad-Bhagavatam is profoundly relevant:
“We must know the present need of human society. And what is that need? Human society is no longer bounded by geographical limits to particular countries or communities . . ., and the world tendency is toward one state or one huma

Prajapati Dasa, a disciple of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada has lived at the ISKCON Dallas, Texas, USA, temple for more than two decades. During this time he established very loving relationships with college professors, often giving tours to groups of students with a baritone voice and animated expressions. Everyone relished his theatric like performances.
