In an exuberant mood, Syamsundara Prabhu, the temple president in Houston, wrote me, “Thank you, Maharaja, for your divine presence in our lives. How fortunate we are to have you among us. Please live forever.”

Reflecting on Syamsundara’s words, I thought of Srila Prabhupada’s statement “I will never die. I will live forever in my books, and you will utilize.” And I took what Syamsundara Prabhu wrote as a confirmation that I should continue focusing on writing the history of Srila Prabhupada an

Even before coming to Krsna consciousness, Bhakti-tirtha Swami was not an ordinary person. Even before coming to Krsna consciousness he was a public leader at university, one of the first entering an all-white environment, majoring in psychology and African studies. He was the one who was part of the movement that changed America, linking up with personalities like Martin Luther King Jr. Even then he was not an ordinary man, even then he was a leader, the one who was thinking beyond his self-in

Today, listening to Srila Prabhupada’s talks in Juhu, I heard something that struck me as especially timely and relevant. “Krishna says advesta sarva-bhutanam: You should not be envious to any living entity. But the present civilization means to become envious. I do not wish to criticize anyone, but this enviousness is the basis . . . Nationalism is also enviousness. ‘Why foreigners will come here?’ This is enviousness. Why should they not come? Who is foreigner and who is national? Everyone is

Buddhi. By intelligence, by intelligence you take shelter of the Supreme Lord. Don't be miser and be hankering after the result of your work and enjoy for yourself. No, sacrifice. Sacrifice means you sacrifice your energy. God is not hankering after your money or whatever you have got. He is full in Himself. He is full in Himself. He doesn't require.

We have three categories of liberated souls – one with both feet in the material world, one with one foot in the material world and one foot in the spiritual world, and one with both feet in the spiritual world. The third category, with two feet in the spiritual world, means having a spiritual body. We don’t have many examples of spiritual masters who have spiritual bodies other than Narada Muni. So for all practical purposes, we have two categories of spiritual masters in the material world. W

It takes time to know each other, it takes time to commit to each other. I know a couple, who got married because of some avoidable or unavoidable circumstances but the boy could not gel with the girl later on. The boy was bit hesitant in going for this particular marriage but he ended up marrying that girl. The initial days were tough for the girl as she was feeling spaced out. The girl had initial feelings for boy but boy didn't respect those feelings and thus girl

The Festival of the Chariots which is also referred to as Ratha Yatra, is literally translated to Chariot Festival. Ratha Yatra originated 5,000 years ago in India, on the East Coast state of Orrisa, in a city called Jagannatha Puri.

It celebrates the return of Lord Krsna to Vrndavan, India 400BC when the initial chariot carrying the Lord was pulled by his closest devotees.  So, this pulling of the chariot symbolises the pulling of the Lord into one’s heart! Since then it celebrated

Hare Krishna! KOLADVIPA KI JAY!

This island represents the process of pada sevanam, serving the lous feet. On this regard the devotees were led on a meditation on the symbols of the Lord’s lotus feet. Very sweet.
We also heard that Giriraja Govardhana is manifested here! How ecstatic. The Delhi devotees performed a drama on the sublme character of Jagannatha Das Babaji Maharaja, for we his samadhi was visited by the devotees.

A man sat at a metro station in Washington DC and started to play the violin; it was a cold January morning. He played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, since it was rush hour, it was calculated that 1,100 people went through the station, most of them on their way to work.

Three minutes went by, and a middle aged man noticed there was musician playing. He slowed his pace, an...d stopped for a few seconds, and then hurried up to meet his schedule.

The other side of the fence always looks green, when we see our life, we might feel that only I am suffering in the world, only I have problems and these problems are endless.
