1 सूत गोस्वामी को इस प्रकार बोलते देखकर, दीर्घकालीन यज्ञोत्सव में लगे हुए समस्त ऋषियों में विद्वान तथा वयोवृद्ध अग्रणी शौनक मुनि ने सूत गोस्वामी को निम्न प्रकार सम्बोधित करते हुए बधाई दी।

2 शौनक ने कहा: हे सूत गोस्वामी, जो बोल सकते हैं तथा सुना सकते हैं, उन सबों में आप सर्वाधिक भाग्यशाली तथा सम्माननीय हैं। कृपा करके श्रीमद भागवत की पुण्य कथा कहें, जिसे महान तथा शक्ति सम्पन्न ऋषि श्रील शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने सुनाई थी।

We often get questions about surrender, like “how can we surrender”. Recently I was reading one old BTG, 2001, and found a nice practical statement from Srila Prabhupada. If we search “surrender” on the vedabase we find 7445 hits, so we know it is an important topic. And we all know the conclusion of the Bhagavad Gita:

sarva-dharman parityajya
mam ekam saranam vraja
aham tvam sarva-papebhyo
moksayisyami mä suca

9. संजय ने कहा—हे राजा ! इस प्रकार कहकर महायोगेश्वर भगवान ने अर्जुन को अपना विश्वरूप दिखलाया।

10-11. अर्जुन ने उस विश्वरूप में असंख्य मुख, असंख्य नेत्र तथा असंख्य आश्चर्यमय दृश्य देखे। यह रूप अनेक दैवी आभूषणों से अलंकृत था और अनेक दैवी हथियार उठाये हुए था। यह दैवी मालाएँ तथा वस्त्र धारण किये था और उस पर अनेक दिव्य सुगंधियां लगी थी। सब कुछ आश्चर्यमय, तेजमय, असीम तथा सर्वत्र व्याप्त था।
