2 उन्होंने धर्मराज (यमराज) को दस, कश्यप को तेरह, चन्द्रमा को सत्ताईस तथा अंगिरा, कृशाश्व एवं भूत को दो-दो कन्याएँ दान स्वरूप दीं। शेष चार कन्याएँ कश्यप को दे दी गई (इस प्रकार कश्यप को कुल सत्रह कन्याएँ प्राप्त हुई)।
