Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

After the battle of Kurushetra was over, Bhima had already killed Duryodhana who was the last survivor from the Kauravas. As they were returning back to home camp, Lord Krishna asked Arjuna to step down first. Arjuna declines. Krishna then forced Arjuna to get down first.

Once upon a time, there lived a man named as kamsingh. Although he was capable of working and earning his livelihood, he would beg. People would pity him and give him money. Disguised as a girl learned in astrology, mantras, yoga, and Tantras, Krishna enjoyed the following conversation pastime:

Radha: O all-knowing girl, what is the most blissful place in the three worlds?

Krishna-disguised-as-a-learned-girl: Krishna's land of Vraja.

Radha: In this world what is the best activity to perform for one's livelihood?

Disguised Krishna: Singing songs about Krishna

Radha: What activity brings the most auspicious result?

Be graceful when you're feeling bad

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

The happiest person on earth isn't always happy. In fact, the happiest people all have their fair share of low moods, problems and disappointments. Often the difference between a person who is happy and someone who is unhappy is not how often they get low, or even how low they drop, but instead, it's what they do with their low moods.

Many people take their low moods very seriously and try to figure out and analyze what

Thought Of The Day

Therefore Krsna comes, the purusottama, to take us back. "Why you are now covered, your shining is stopped? You are morose. You are suffering threefold miserable condition of material existence. Why you are rotting here?" Sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja [Bg. 18.66]. Krsna comes Himself. He is within everyone's heart. He's instructing. He is ready to instruct, but He'll only instruct to such persons who have engaged themselves in devotional service. Krsna is there, just like the m

Detecting life source

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

If you inject just one grain of deadly poison into someone, he immediately dies. No one can see the poison or how it acts. But the poison is acting nevertheless. In the same way, the Vedas say that because the minute particle called the soul is within the body, the whole body is working nicely. According to the Vedas, the measurement of the soul within the body is one ten-thousandth part of the tip of a hair. It is too

Pray regularly

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

There is a story of about a sea captain who in his retirement skippered a boat taking day-trippers to Shetland Islands. On one trip, the boat was full of young people.

They laughed at the old captain when they saw him say a prayer before sailing out, because the day was fine and the sea was calm.

However they weren't long at sea when a storm suddenly blew up and the boat began to pitch violently. The terrified passenger

Special reasoning power of the human being

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

The Bhagavad-gita says that out of many thousands of human beings, one may try to make perfection of his life. Man is an animal, but he has one special prerogative, rational thought. What is that rational thought? Reasoning power, argument. Now, reasoning power is there in dogs and cats as well. Suppose a dog comes up to you; if you say, "Hut!" he'll understand. The dog will understand that you don't want him. So, he ha

A man saw a poor boy looking at his beautiful and expensive car; he offered the boy a drive….

After the drive the boy said: "Your car is so marvelous, it might be so expensive?! How much does it cost?"
The man replied: "I don't know; my brother has gifted it to me!"

There once was a wise sage who wandered the countryside. One day, as he passed near a village, he was approached by a woman who told him of a sick child nearby. She beseeched him to help this child.
So the sage came to the village, and a crowd gathered around him, for such a man was a rare sight. One woman brought the sick child to him, and he said a prayer over her.
"Do you really think your prayer will help her, when m

Be a ‘yes man’

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Anything that is going on in this world, is under the supreme supervision of the Lord. There is a philosopher's saying, "Not a blade of grass moves without the will of God." It is actually the fact. Now, we have to dovetail ourself with that plan of the Supreme Lord. That is called karma-yoga. So Arjuna understood it, and he dovetailed himself with the supreme will of the Lord. And when he was inquired, "Whether you are
