On Thursday 13th August, ISKCON-London officially launched their year-and-a-half long celebrations across 2015 and 2016 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of ISKCON by holding a festival to mark 50 years since Srila Prabhupada departed from India to the US aboard the Jaladuta.

Govinda Cafe in Istanbul Opens Soon

The devotees in Turkey are working very hard to finish the renovation work of the newly rented place in downtown Istanbul. The Govinda Cafe is scheduled to open for a trial period in two weeks, and the official opening will take place in about a month.

In Turkey Krishna-consciousness is allowed to perform only a very limited amount of public activities. Govinda Cafe will serve as an important tool to distribute prasadam and present the culture of Krishna-consciousness to the Turkish society.
