The 9th Annual India Day festival was recently held in Moscow, Russia at the “Dream Island” Landscape Park. This past weekend’s event (August 15-18th), which is the heart of the multi-day festival, welcomed more than 600,000 people. Over 2 million were estimated to attend all the festival days.

On Monday, July 8th, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi arrived in Moscow. At the Carlton Hotel, Modi was met with a lively kirtan offered by members of ISKCON Russia. Their joyful welcome was shared on many Indian TV channels, further spreading the Holy Name.

In time for the Prabhupada Marathon 2021, four new vehicles are to be purchased for the Moscow sankirtana ashrama. A fundraising campaign is underway to raise $29,000 to help reach the goal: One million books should be distributed in Russia by the end of 2021. Over 1,000 people new to mantra culture are expected to attend Mantra Fest in Moscow, Russia on September 1st at the Green Concert Club.
