In pursuance of our commitment to dealing robustly with child protection, in December 2022, the GBC Body authorized an independent review of the governance and leadership in the Mayapur and Vrindavan gurukulas. The report was submitted to us in February, and
During its AGM meetings in Mayapur this year, members of the Governing Body Commission and members of the Indian Bureau spent an entire day together discussing relevant topics for both leadership groups. Several members of the Indian Continental Committee also joined the meeting.
Approximately fifty devotees met in one of the meeting rooms within the Temple of Vedic Planetarium for two three-hour sessions in the morning and the afternoon.The meeting was facilitated by ISKCON Resolve leader Vraj
The GBC meeting opened with Srila Prabhupada Guru Puja prayers followed by a reading from the Srimad Bhagavatam by Bhaktimarg Swami.
The EC Chair, Bhanu Swami, shared a brief report of some assignments overseen by GBC EC. Some of these assignments include:
* Development of Global Property Office
* Coordinating with the Legal office which was active with several tasks including Will for GBC members and improvising systems
* Actively working with Shastri Advisory Council
* Assisted to oversee C
The GBC meeting was opened with prayers led by HH Bhanu Swami Maharaja, Chairman of the GBC Executive Committee. Nrisimha Kavaca dasa, ISKCON Deity Minister, followed with a reading from the Srimad Bhagavatam.
The GBC began by updating a few committee assignments that needed clarification from 2022. (Assignments for 2023 will be completed during the Annual General Meeting [AGM] in Mayapur.)

On 13th October 2021, radical extremists began strategic, coordinated attacks on Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. The attacks continued until October 15th, 2021, with innumerable homes, shops, puja pandals, and temples being looted, burned, and destroyed.
