The Bhaktivedanta Library is a unique subject that inspired me to write.

I have been to many ISKCON temples along with many holy places all over India; but ISKCON Mumbai (Shri Radha Rasa Bihari Ji) stands to be the only place where I discovered this unique and special library that has a magnanimous collection of books by various authors from all over the world.

Let me first introduce you to a vaishnava— His Grace Radha Madhava Prabhu (formerly Richard Mende) who is now 77 years old and has just completed writing two books which will be published soon. He graduated from the Stanford University and has worked in New York in the film producing industry while he was absorbed in worldly ways of life.

His Grace Guru das Prabhu writes about His Grace Radha Madhav Prabhu:

The Affection of Srila Prabhupada

[This story has been written by Premanjana Dasa (Pranjal Joshi) on the basis of a conversation that took place between him and His Grace Hari Das Prabhu at the ‘Hare Krishna Land’ (ISKCON Temple) at Juhu, Mumbai in the months of August and September 2011 in the room of Haridas Prabhu ]

Since my childhood, I was told the glories of Nasik and Triyamakeshwar(one of the 12 jyotirlingas) by my mother several times. I had a desire to visit Nasik because of this. Nasik is a very old city and finds its mention in the Ramayana, it is located in Maharashtra that is a province/state in India. Nasik is at about 180 Kms from Mumbai and Pune. I started from Mumbai by a bus straight away from my office and reached Nasik by 2:30 AM, I took a lodge for Rs. 600

Devotees will not demand.......................Nectarean Mellows

We could come and see the Deity any time, because it’s so easily accessible, they are so easily accessible. But the tendency is to not to really approach the Deity with heartfelt prayers. The tendency is not to be really grateful at every moment, “I am standing before the Lord; I am being blessed causelessly”. And then the Vaishnavas, to see Vaishnavas as ordinary...…I know devotees

One devotee's account of how he was inspired to donate to the TOVP

I came in touch with Krishna Consciousness in 2004 when I joined the Government Polytechnic College in Coimbatore. An ISKCON temple was near my college. I very much got inspiration from the lectures of HH Bhakti Vinode Swami Maharaj, who was at that time HG Sarveswara Prabhu, temple president of ISKCON, Coimbatore. I am always in debt to Maharaj and the Coimbatore devotees.

Around May 2010, I joined some college friends on a tou

Puñöa Kåñëa: Question number two?
Çréla Prabhupäda: Yes.
Puñöa Kåñëa: "The traditional charge against Hinduism is that it is fatalistic, that it inhibits progress by making people slaves to the belief in the inevitability of what is to happen. How far is this charge true?"
Çréla Prabhupäda: The charge is false. Those who have made that charge do not know what "Hinduism" is. First of all, the Vedic scriptures make no mention of such a thing as "Hinduism." but they do mention sanätana-dharma, the ete

Puñöa Kåñëa: Çréla Prabhupäda, this questionnaire was sent to you by Bhavan's Journal, a cultural and religious magazine in Bombay. They are questioning various religious and spiritual leaders, trying to get the answers to some of the important questions that are perplexing people today. So there's a list of questions, and the first is this: "Is the influence of religion over the masses on the wane?"
Çréla Prabhupäda: Yes. This is predicted in Çrémad-Bhägavatam [12.2.1]:

Around 12000 villages of Maharashtra and about 4000 villages of Gujarat are reeling under severe drought which has affected the lives of more than 2 crore people. Is it a natural disaster or manmade disaster?

Our intense greed for self aggrandizement has resulted in massive exploitation of nature. Trees are rampantly cut to pave the way for industrialization, chemical fertilizers are being excessively used to increase the crop yield, industrial wastes are being dumped in the rivers, ground water

One of the greatest stumbling blocks in Krishna Consciousness.......................Nectarean Mellows

A person that has very little, whatever little he or she could get, is seen as a great favor and one appreciates. But the problem is that when you have so much of everything then the tendency is not to take seriously all of these blessings of the lord. We take them to be something ordinary; we take them cheaply, for granted. This is one of the grea
