nirasir yata-cittatma
tyakta-sarva-parigrahah
sariram kevalam karma
kurvan napnoti kilbisam

SYNONYMS

nirasih--without desire for the result; yata--controlled; citta-atma--mind and intelligence; tyakta--giving up; sarva--all; parigrahah--sense of proprietorship over all possessions; sariram--in keeping body and soul together; kevalam--only; karma--work; kurvan--doing so; na--never; apnoti--does acquire; kilbisam--sinful reactions.

Such a man of understanding acts with mind and in

So Krsna begins, therefore, His instructions that "Don't think you are this body. This is your covering. You are within this body." That is the beginning of Krsna's instructions. And at last He, as a father, advises sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja [Bg. 18.66]. So when we do that, giving up everything, we surrender to Krsna, at that time we revive our relationship with Krsna. This is wanted.

भाई, तुम्हारी पत्नी कौन है? तुम्हारा पुत्र कहाँ से आया? कौन किसका है? तुम स्वयं कौन हो? ये सब बातें अति विचित्र हैं व्यर्थ चिन्ताओं में समय नष्ट न करके इन बातों पर भी जरा विचार करो।

I have been blessed with the opportunity to engage in the wonderful Smart-Box book-distribution program in Hillcroft, the "Little India" of Houston, Texas. I had the chance to maintain the Smart Boxes there yesterday, and it was a very enlivening experience.
