At the present, especially on this planet earth, the influence of Lord Brahma has decreased considerably, and the representatives of Hiranyakasipu- the Raksasas and demons- have taken charge. Therefore, there is no protection of brahminical culture and cows, which are the basic prerequisites for all kinds of good fortune.

Personal salvation is alright. I'm discussing protection of brahminical culture and cows which at the moment does not exist. There can be no good fortune without these basic prerequisites.
Does purity have the power to remove the demons from their posts, the ones who make the laws. If so, how?
In the Bhagavatam there is a narration about king Vena who was especially cruel, and didn't care about the brahminical culure. He was killed by the prowess of brahmins.
If the Vaisnavas in the present day are unable to do that it is because they are not powerful enough.
Power comes from purity, therefore, you are right, we need to purify ourselves even more.

Anyhow, Krsna is also like Spider man, He is like a spider and the cosmic creation is like a web. The spider creates the web and remains separate and when the time comes he winds up the web.
We don't know how much time we have.

If something needs to be done then do it now for we may never get the time.

The observation is true as predicted in scriptures. But scriptures also give solution.
kaler doṣa-nidhe rājann
asti hy eko mahān guṇaḥ
kīrtanād eva kṛṣṇasya
mukta-saṅgaḥ paraṁ vrajet
My dear King, although Kali-yuga is an ocean of faults, there is still one good quality about this age: Simply by chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra, one can become free from material bondage and be promoted to the transcendental kingdom.( SB 12.3.51)
Devotees in general are not too eager to aquire good fortunes in material world. Their focus is to transcend all good & miss fortunes by taking shelter of Sri Krsna. There is no fortune more valuable than mercy of Sri Krsna.

I can understand your concern about the deterioration of the civilization. Yes, the city will be more dangerous place as Kali-yuga advances. It will be very deteriorating. The modern civilization is so corrupt and as sinful activities are more and more committed, the people will be forced to face more troubles, by nature's order. Our business, however, is simply to take shelter of the Hare Krsna Maha Mantra and pray to the Holy Name to give us protection. We shall be unaffected by all that will happen. Krsna will provide us with working facilities. Be assured of this, that the devotees will be protected by the Holy Name. Others will have to suffer in the days that are coming.
That education begins in the Bhagavad-gītā in the beginning: dehino 'smin yathā dehe (BG 2.13). Dehī means the possessor of the deha is within the body, not the body is the person. But no education. Throughout the whole scientific world, university education, there is no concern that 'I am not this body; I am soul.' Such a foolish, rascal civilization is going in the name of advancement. No protection for woman, no protection of children, no respect for brahminical culture.
So it is the animal civilization. Polished animal, that's all. Otherwise it is not civili... That is Vedic culture. Therefore... So this is civilization, this is culture. So at the present moment there is no respect for brahminical culture. Just like we are trying to make our disciples perfectly men of character: no illicit sex, no intoxication, no gambling, no meat-eating. And people will take it very lightly. They laugh. Because they do not know what is brahminical culture, what is the perfection of human life. So all these are happening and will continue to happen till the end of this age, very, very dangerous. We must always consider. Don't be allured by big, big highways and skyscraper building with full advertisement of wine and cigarette. This is not life. This is not life. Life... Here is life. Let anyone come and compare this life in this temple and outside. This is life.
So be careful that this material world is itself dangerous. Especially in this age of Kali, it is dangerous. It is stated in the śāstra, padaṁ padaṁ yad vipadām (SB 10.14.58): every step there is danger. This is the position. Māyā is so strong that you should always expect simply danger. But if you become Kṛṣṇa conscious, you can overcome these dangers. Padaṁ padaṁ yad vipadāṁ na teṣām. It is not... This dangerous position is not for them. Who? Samāśritā ye pada-pallava-plavam: one who has taken shelter of the lotus feet. It is a great ocean, just like the Pacific Ocean. He... It is just like a great ocean, big ocean of ignorance. As in the ocean if you go, even on a boat, it is always dangerous, similarly, we are in the ocean of material civilization. There is always danger. But if you take shelter of the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa, paraṁ padam, then you overcome the danger and you go back to home, back to Godhead.
People of this era are supposed to be the most ignorant. The quality of life is supposed to be the poorest, People are supposed to be liars, cheats and with no belief in god. women are supposed to be unchaste. However, life in our era, though not ideal, is definitely not the worst in the history of mankind.
