"just surrender unto Me" - Just surrender to His words(Divine Knowledge) what He told in Gita and rest assured you are on the right way and be delivered of all sinful reactions of Karma :)
I am in ISKCON from last few years. Frankly speaking I am still a neophyte and will be confused for all the time to come.
What ever path you take to realise absolute truth you need to have complete faith. Everyone has their own journey of life and own experiences. We cant say "MY WAY OR NO WAY" Loving god is important. Everything is based on belief and personal experience, if he is finding bliss and peace of mind in some other path then that is his way. Let them go in their way God knows how to protect his loved ones.
2.The promulugation of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra.
As an institution one may believe in ISKCON or not but most important is Guru Parampara system and chanting of the Mahamantra. It is also essential to surrender to a bonafide spiritual master as described by Srila Prabhupada in his Purports to the Srimad Bhagavatham. If one is steadfast on the above principles one is very safe!!!
Believing to Krishna means to accept a bonafide Guru and follow his instructions.
And to follow main rules, at least like chanting minimum 16 rounds of Hare Krishna japa and follow 4 regulative principles.
And of course without Devotees to follow these rules will be impossible so how one can say that he believes to Krishna not following simple rules?
It is simple sahajiya no question of loving or believing to Krishna.

Jai Radhey
Mataji I think here you used the term sahajiya too easily and without the proper knowledge of the root of the word.
Falling out or parting ways from ISKCON, doesnt mean any one of the following points you have stated:
1. Following a Bonafide Guru: He/SHe might have found a bonafide Guru in Gaudiya Sampradaya outside ISKCON 2. Chanting 16 rounds: Have seen devotees chanting even 5 lakhs name with utmost ruchi even outside ISKCON 3. 4 Regulative Principles: That are also followed beyond ISKCON.
4. Devotee Association: That is also possible beyond ISKCON.
So to draw inference that if he/she is leaving ISKCON he is "not following simple rules' is not correct. and then to tag them to be sahajiya is even more unbelievable.
If someone continues to believe in Krsna, then its ok. From an ISKCON point of view, it is sad and unfortunate that someone who is a devotee of Krsna has fallen out with ISKCON. Like Pandora mataji said, we should try to get to the root of the matter and try to resolve it. Still, we can continue to be very nice and respectful towards such a person who believes Lord Krsna is the ultimate God and reservior of everything.
We should encourage that person to atleast chant - the rest will follow. Krsna will personally take care of His dear devotee and show him the path to come back to Him.
We should see the extent of dissatisfaction with ISKCON. If the person still respects Srila Prabhupada, we can tell him/her to follow the instructions of SP, ie. chant 16 and follow 4, continously read SP books. That is enough to go back to godhead in this lifetime.
We can pray to Krsna for such a person so taht the lord personally takes charge and helps an aspiring devotee.
It is sad and unfortunate when someone leaves ISKCON. Perhaps it is helpful to ask them why they are leaving and see if the situation can be resolved. Perhaps they got their feelings hurt by devotees or perhaps they were given incorrect information by devotees. It could be a number of reasons. Be loving and be kind and encourage them to "keep in touch" by visiting the ISKCON Temple once in a while.

Hare Krishna Pandora Mataji. Thanks for your nice answer. That was sweet of you to say like that. That is a fact also that some leave ISKCON because of our fault. We should be so nice and loving devotees of Krishna no one ever wants to leave and if someone leaves we should always be like a friend, encourage them to just do the best they can do . In preaching the message of Lord Chaitanya we have to become like Lord Nityananda and be as tolerant as a tree. At least give them some prasadam and sweet words. Even to the most fallen. Krishna is in the heart of everyone.
I dont think not believing in ISKCON is a sin .Nobody can be forced to have faith in anything or anybody.faith is an extraordinary gift that can obly be recieved by god's will.i know the importance of undying faith because i have lacked it all my life.

ISKCON is important because of two things
1. The parampara System.
2.The promulugation of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra.

ISKCON - is KC on?
Personally i say that it is my home and Devotees are my family: siblings, mothers and fathers.
I cannot imagine my life without ISKCON now.
And surprised to people who leave it.
