I was talking to someone at the craigs list discussion forum, and they said I was incorrect.I said the interpretation was"O all-attractive ,all-pleasing Lord, O energy of the Lord, please engage me in your service."The person said that the part that says "Please engage me in your service" was not the correct interpretation and that I was mistaken. So who is correct? Me or that other person? Thanks Prabhus for any comments on this matter.

    Hare Krishna dear Mataji,
ask him to come here and discuss it with Devotees and they will try to help him to know what is the correct meaning of Maha Mantra.
    Your servant,
  • Thanks so much Prabhus. I thought I was losing my mind when that other person said I was wrong. I guess that in other spiritual movements that they have different interpretations? Is that true? That person said they chanted the Hare Krishna mantra but that I had an incorrect interpretation.

Hare Krsna Pandora mataji, You did well and spoke the truth.
Srila Prabhupada had given this meaning for the Hare Krsna maha mantra many times.

"Only when one can understand that there is no difference between the Supreme and His name can one be situated in Krsna consciousness.
At such a time one no longer needs to make grammatical adjustments.
Rather, one becomes more interested in petitioning the Lord":
"Hare Krsna — O my Lord, O energy of the Lord, please engage me in Your service!"
    TLC ch 18. Hare Krsna
