Hare Krishna to all the devotees
All glories to srila Prabhupada
If we try and talk about God, God realisation and things from scriptures to people in our school or to someone whom we know, is that also considered preaching?
If it is should we do it, even if we are not free from lust, anger, greed, etc?

in general materialistic environment like school, college, workplace you're sure to find envious people who'd challenge you in all sorts of ways.are you that much read and confident in scriptures to answer them.does your anger not rise when answering such questions?
if you are not confident in scriptures and get easily irritated then your preaching is going to be highly ineffective.
Not answering but only talking and not to people who are envious.
I will tell you one incident, one day I was talking to one of my classmates and from what I can remember we were talking about kalki avatar, so I said just in the conversation that kalki avatar will appear on a horse on the end of kaliyug then he said that he won't be on a horse, when I asked why, he said that because at that time there we will be no horse due to kaliyug being at its end so lord kalki ant GET ANY HORSE to ride, I was shocked to hear that and then I said that he Is god he will not take birth like an ordinary person , then he said that God DOES take BIRTH. so I am talikg. About such things, like if I tell them (from what I have read and heard from scriptures and from devotees) I was aking whether such things aould be considered preaching. And if we should engage in them or not. He is not envious of god or anything, atleast that's what I think. Also his name is krishna.
That is not preaching. That is discussing information.
Preaching means to induce someone to chant the name of the Lord. That can be done only when you are chanting yourself.
Likewise to induce someone to give up meat eating, intoxication, gambling and illicit sex.
So we can do that right! Like I was talking to someone whose father (and my teacher) is a very great devotee of lord hanuman ji, about how even many "great" scientist believe in god, so I wanted to tell them one samll incident of srila Prabhupada which I headed from HG amrendra prabhu, so this question than arises in my mind whether I should do that or not, since I am not a pure devotee vaishnav, so if it is considered preaching then k shouldn't do it.
Yes it is directly following limb of bhakti. You can do it.
When you hear from devotee like Amarendra Prabhu or Amogh Lila Prabhu, it is first and most important limb of dehotional service called sravanam. When you repeat what you have heard to someone else it bevomes kirtanam. It is directly bhakti.

The supreme occupation [dharma] for all humanity is that by which men can attain to loving devotional service unto the transcendent Lord. Such devotional service must be unmotivated and uninterrupted to completely satisfy the self.(SB 1.2.6)
Any activity that informs / inspires / enlightens / enables / empowers / contributes to a living being to render unmovitvated uninterrupted loving devotional service to Sri Krsna is preaching. The effect it has on individual is very important.
Recently there was one individual in these forums who was claiming to be God, and labelling others as associates of God. Seemingly such talk is about God. But the effect it had on others was like vomiting. That is not preaching, even though topic is seemingly God.
On the other hand pure devotees don't need to do any particular activity to preach. Just by their presence they inspire Krsna consciousness. And certainly by any/every activity they inspire the same

Hare krishna Krishna das prabhu,
Every devotee has some liking for particular kind of service.if participating in IDT can be termed as some sort of service then you seem to be particularly fond of it.All of us need to carefully preserve our object of interest and not waste it out in mindless way.I'll give an example.as you know HG aindra prabhu was fiery and totally non compromising in his approach when it came to following the true standards as delineated by Srila prabhupada BUT he softened in his interactions with temple leaders and zonal GBC etc.he did it purposefully to safeguard his devotional interests.i am not making it up,you can find this out on your own but you'll have to dig deep.Absolute truth is one and for pure devotees it is revealed and valued as such because they don't have that absolute truth to relative truth converting goggles. In other words pure devotees don't have material vision.there are some things on which all kinds of devotees will have universal agreement.why not stick to those and not jeopardize our interest..i wrote this even though plenty of things that you say is bonkers according to me,considering you are old wine in new bottle.
please ignore if nothing makes sense in the above paragraph.
I will be fair, for I actually had my doubts that you are Madhav Das prabhuji
