What is atma nivedanam?

Is atma nivedanam is giving the soul to krsna?

I must give my soul to Krsna it means?

But Madhav das prabhu ji is saying I am soul part and parcel of supersoul krsna. That which is belonging to  Krsna already what is mine that I must offer to Krsna?

Basically what is that Krsna is seeking from me?

Krsna wants your complete surrender.  sarva dharman paritajya ma'm ekam saranam vraja...Bg 18.66

He has given you minute independence.  You can choose to serve Him or His maya. When you decide to surrender everything, body and mind in His service that is called atma nivedanam.

    • body and mind are not mentioned in the word atma nivedanam.

      • Hare Krsna

The conditioned soul is very much attached to the body and mind which it thinks belongs to him under the spell of false ego. Therefore,  offering one's body and mind for the service of the Supreme is offering everything or surrendering everything and that constitutes atma nivedanam.  It's acknowledging that Krsna is the owner of everything including one's self, and yes, finally one offers himself to Krsna as well to do with him as He is pleased.

        • I am to offer body, mind and soul ( atma) to krsna

          • You are atma. Yet, you are still speaking as if atma is second person and you are separate. That's why I asked you yesterday,  who are you?

          • or I am to offer body mind intellect false ego and atma to krsna?

            • First you need self-realization.

Basically what is that Krsna is seeking from me?

Sri Krsna is Supreme Personality of Godhead. He is source of everything. He is complete in Himself and doesn't need anything or anyone. So Krsna is not seeking anything from you

Is atma nivedanam is giving the soul to krsna?

    No

    Hare Krsna

    • prabhu ji you told me in previous question atma means soul. Atma means soul. nivednam means to offer.

we must offer our soul to krsna.
