  • hare krishna,

the question you asked is quite deep, ill try to help to the best of my knowledge, in sanskrit "su" means good and "kriti" means creation. someone who is highly intelligent and with wisdom and creative in thoughts are called sukriti. To attain wisdom elders like sri adiguru shankarcharya, sri aandal devi and 12 alwars, 64 nayanars, thikkanna, basavanna, vemanna, baktha bammeri potthanna, kabirdas, ramadas, surdas, tulasidas and many directly or indirectly they have said only thing through there litrary works or  there deeds that one's life can attain wisdom only when he is following his dharma (dharma, means not religion or cast, dharma means the rightful duties what a human is assigned to do on the mother earth by the lord) they say read and try to adapt vedas and its moral in life first , if not, try to understand shruthis which are the upanishads, if u arent able to get that, then try to understand smruthis that is the stotras etc., if not, go with puranas, where in we have 18 puranas, ramayanam, bagavatham, gita and mahabharatham which is known as panchama vedam, in case if u are not able understand that then try to listen to what the elders of your community or region or a guru says, if still u are not in a position to understand then listen to your elders at home, if you are still not in a position then atlast they to follow your heart. but these days people in the name of modernizaton will not care all these things and directly they listen to there heart and take their own decision to move forward and fall trumbling down. to gain wisdom in this lifetime, try to stay calm atleast for 10 min in a day and try to stay calm start thinking towards the inside of yourseleves, wisdom can be attained, wisdom is not a packet of eatable that we get it a groccery, it s a continous proccess and journey in life.

generally, when it comes to my way of attain wisdom is im trying to  gain with help of all the puranas and spells and hyms by great saints and monks who attained salvation, i sing and understand annamaya keertanas, all dasara padas, ramadas keertanas, tyagaraj kritis, hyms by 12 alwars and 64 nanyanars and try to understand the moral out of it. understand how did they reach the lotus feet of supreme.

im into the way of KC , when i was 8 years old(none said me to go in this way, but the lord made me to walk on his way) . now im 27 years old. that onething what i understood from all these things is that wisdom is no one's property it can owned by anyone but it cant be aattained just by reading books and turning pages together it can be attained when we are able to implement whatever we have studied or learnt from the books, scriptures and elders. the best example i can tell is, lord Rama, is accepted as god everywhere is not just because  he one of the dasavataras of vishnu, but he is accepted as god and inspiration to many because he behaved and lead his life in the way how a human should exactly lead and thensame is sita maa. i always recommed people go with valmiki ramayanam atleast once in lifetime with all the devotion and read it as a guide to lead life not as a story i tell u it make a tremendous change in our lives. if you are trying to read scriptures and puranas plz dont read written someone whos is translated it or someone who has written his experience and opinion over it. it may lead to misguidence. go and find the originals and go deep into the subject don just belive what one said and feel as a gosphel coz in our sanatan dharma the wisdom is spread wide, at times people misguide each other, so plz i request u to think 1000 times and put a step forward, orelse we may just be in a notion that we gained something but it would have led to nothing.

this is my way of thinking and opinion, and im not critizing or commenting on anyone. if u feel good about what i said and if u r able think about it and try to implement ill feel glad that i guided someone to path of truth. in case any quieres you may may mail me at vinayvanamali@gmail.com ill try to help my best. " MANAVA SEVA IS MADHAVA SEVA".

    yours sincerely,

    vinay kumar

  • Hare Krishna,

Narad muni in previously life was a maid servant's child he didn't know he was serving Vaishnavas and cleaning their plates and eating leftovers from the plates of vaishnavas was going to fetch him sukruti which would make him a big devotee in future life time. When you do charity or go to temple or do some seva or even do bhakti...you must not do it with feeling to fetch sukriti. Your main aim in doing Bhakti is to please lord, give him your love.

Maa apne bete ko prem se khana khilati hi? hai ki nahi? does the mother think while feeding her child, becoz of this punya karma I will get a good life next time. I am doing so much selfless service to my child?

Your prem or bhakti should have selflessness.  When you love Krishna atleast there should be this selflessness.

Whereever there is selfisness it is no longer bhakti it becomes business dealing.  Even Krishna says in Bhagvad Gita Nishakaam karma.

Resulted oriented bhakti is done for demigods.  With Krishna we do Prem, we give love becoz we love him.

Not that we want to become something in next birth.  Sukriti comes as side effect. Not that you are main aim of doing bhakti is to get sukriti.

    Hare Krishna.

    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

Once one has come to devotional life, one has to always endeavour to do more and more devotional service. Initially we think by chanting 4 rounds, or going to temple during weekends is itself such a pious thing we are doing, but after some time, this becomes our barest minimum requirement. Similarly, the time we spend on devotional activities is directly proportional to the devotion we have and inversely proportional to our material inclinations.

Therefore, initially we may need to consciously cultivate devotion, later it comes naturally. We have to integrate Krsna into our lives seamlessly, such that devotion comes to us effortlessly. We dont know any other way to lead our life.

Thank you for asking this question.

    Haribol,

    Your servant,

    Radha Rasamayi DD

    • Hare Krishna mataji yes one should do hard work for getting Krishna but that sukriti thing should concisely so in our future birth also we may also get to have devotion to lord that is what I want to know does these things are inter related ? or it is separately earned tgrough mercy ?

        Hare Krsna

The bhakti or devotional service performed in this life becomes sukriti for next life. There is no other way to get spiritual sukriti. But most effective way to perform devotional  service or get sukriti is to serve pure devotees of Sri Krsna selflessly.

Example : Narada muni in His previous life was son of a maid servant. He diligently and selflessly served saints and as a consequence He got darshan of the lord and in the next life he became Narada muni

          Hare Krnsa Prabhuji,

          PAMHO.

In addition to what has rightly been said, once we are on the devotional path, we are not concerned about accumulating sukriti - material or spiritual. We gradually realise how we are able to take the name simply by the causeless mercy of vaishnavas. Once we understand that, we try to serve the devotees thinking ourselves to be low and fallen.

We dont keep checking our spiritual bank account - so have I accumulated enough sukriti to go back to Godhead or to get a human form of life next birth. We simply think - how can I serve you better Krsna. What will please you Radharani?

          Haribol,

          Your servant,

          Radha Rasamayi DD

          • Hare krishna mataji thanks  for your reply so sukriti means some kind of special bonus pious acts which is yet to be considered when someone serves vaishnavas and devotees of the lord so this credits comes automatically by doing services .But is this realated to ajnata sukriti?

and do you say about this is there is any predestined thing in bhakti ? for example how far we can cultivate bhakti in ones lifetime bcz not all are so fortunate mataji to complete it within this life time i hope you get my point

              Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

              PAMHO.

Agyaat sukriti is unknown pious deeds. Suppose you are making something to offer to lord and then distribute as prasadam. The ingredient supplier - the shop from where you bought, the middlemen in the process right upto the farmer who sowed the crop will get agyaat sukriti. Suppose while cooking, one ingredient fell short and you borrowed from your neighbour - that is also agyaat sukriti for the neighbour. I am not at all saying that one should develop the habit of borrowing ingredients and cooking prasadam, to distribute agyaat sukriti to everyone. Personally, I dislike borrowing anything from anyone for my service.

I dont know why you are so concerned about sukriti, unknown or known. Simply concentrate on devotional service. Do little or as much as you are comfortable, but do with full sincerity of heart. That is all that is required.

              Haribol,

              Your servant,

              Radha Rasamayi DD

            • And one more question can astrology predicts how much  bhakti one can  to do in ones lifetime? bcz there is one astrologer who told me some 3 yrs ago that now you have to be very carefull about bcz you might lost your devotion at that time i didnt get it this was happenend one of  my devotee friend that astrologer came to his house and had said this to me .so i was shocked for a bit pls reply what do you think abt this?

              • E-Counselor

Regarding pre destined thing, once you come to bhakti, nobody can predict your life. YOu have surrendered to the lord (to the extent you have surrendered) and He takes over your destiny.

If one is unable to complete one's devotional journey in one lifetime, then one can always continue in the next birth - sucinam srimatam gehe, yoga bhrastobhi jayate - one takes birth in an aristocratic family or in a pious family and one gets a chance to continue one's devotional life from where one left in the previous birth. Or one is born in a family of devotees, though such a birth is rare.

                Haribol,

                Your servant,

                Radha Rasamayi DD
