PAMHO.
You appear to be a college student, yet you have amazing analytical skills. You have arrived at the problem statement very nicely.
Now let us look for solution - the only solution is - we cannot change the world, or college culture, or even our closest friends. We can only try to save ourselves from the onslaught of maya by following the yuga dharma - naam sankirtana. Better to save ourselves first, and fortify ourselves before we try to help others. Of course, if someone wants to join us, they are most welcome.
So what is to be done?
Chant 16 rounds of mahamantra and follow 4 regulative principles. I am not elaborating because I am sure what they are.
Follow the ABCDE of devotion - Association of devotees, reading Books of Srila Prabhupada, Chanting, Diet of Krsna prasadam and observing Ekadasi. If there is any preaching program going on in your college, do join and participate wholeheartedly. If not, try and see if there is anything in the vicinity/ near your residence. Attach yourself to local congregational preaching and local ISKCON temple, do your sadhana very nicely, and see the mercy of Mahaprabhu flow.

I'm posting an excerpt from Srimad Bhagavatam. Please read carefully:
"For the common man there is no definite notice from inevitable death. Foolish men forget this sure fact of death and neglect the duty of preparing themselves for going back to Godhead. They spoil their lives in animal propensities to eat, drink, be merry and enjoy. Such an irresponsible life is adopted by the people in the age of Kali because of a sinful desire to condemn brahminical culture, God consciousness and cow protection, for which the state is responsible. The state must employ revenue to advance these three items and thus educate the populace to prepare for death. The state which does so is the real welfare state. The state of India should do better than to imitate other materialistic states which have no idea of the kingdom of Godhead, the ultimate goal of human life. Deterioration of ideals of Indian civilization has brought about the deterioration of civic life, not only in India but also abroad."

The problem is, the society does not say what is sin.
Moreover It makes us believe that sinful mentality is quite normal.
The first day I joined college,
The guys are joking like this.
Do you masturbate regularly ? How many girls you wooed so far ?
The college culture is like this. Be it is engineering, medicine, arts any field.
They create a strong feeling that adultery, fornication ( mental and physical ), sexual fantasies , masturbation, pornography etc., are quite normal.
I strongly feel that cinema ruined Indian culture.
It changed the way one dressup, changed the way one behaves ?
What will happen when a boy or a girl watches cinema ? He feels that boyfriend/girlfriend culture is not a sin.
What is there in cinema ? There is an actor, who kisses an actress and acts in sexual or lusty scenes for the sake of money.
All these actors and actresses, without shame embrace, kiss, and acts in sexual or lusty scenes.
( They say that they are bold, insted of feeling shame. ). For the sake of money, they are ready to expose their body parts, even go naked also.
Now media, creates great hype for these shameless fellows. And college going fools hail them as demigods, and rolemodels.
No students in college talks about Dharma. What they talk about is, How to get good grades and How to get jobs.
And then they eat chicken biryani, booze, watch cinema and porn, have sex with girlfriend or masturbate.
This is the typical culture in socalled premier institutions such as IITs, BITS Pilani,NITs etc.,
The atmosphere everywhere is polluted with impious persons.
Even good natured person gets spoiled in such an atmosphere.
The parents and teachers themselves are not learned. They do not know what is the goal of life.
They fail to create a strong impression that there exists is supreme Lord.
They fail to teach what is pious and what is sinful.
There seems no hope for common man to protect himself from committing sins.
Only that supreme Lord save us from sinful thinking.
