Seeking Volunteer Opportunities to Serve ISKCON

Hare Krishna!

My name is Nitesh, and I feel inspired to contribute to ISKCON’s mission as a volunteer. Although I am not a devotee yet, I am willing to follow ISKCON’s principles and guidelines.

I have some skills that I would love to offer in service:

  • Cooking: I enjoy preparing food and can help with prasadam preparation.
  • Graphic Design: I have experience in creating designs and can assist with promotional materials or social media.
  • Quick Learner: I am eager to take up any task or service and learn whatever is needed to serve better.

I would be grateful for your guidance on how I can get involved as a volunteer. Please let me know if there are specific areas where I can contribute.

Thank you for considering my request. Hare Krishna!

Very happy to see your enthusiasm and selfless spirit. Requesting you to kindly approach nearest Iskcon temple or center. Some opportunities in Iskcon centers are as follows

Daily - Garland making, cleaning, book distribution. These happen daily and any new person can do. Cooking, Singing, playing instruments are for experienced devotees

Festivals - On festivals like Janmashtami, Gaur Purnima, Deepavali etc, lots of opportunities will be there, hard to list them. Many of them will be open for all.

If there isn't a center close to your residence which you could visit frequently, then you may still be able to use your expertise in design for creating posters, handouts etc. For these again you need to contact Iskcon center, they will certainly be able to guide you.

Please try contacting nearest Iskcon center and if you are still unable to find any opportunity, please respond in this same thread.

    Thank you

  • Best service will be to become good devotee and a human being then your parents and society will be pleased with you. In temple you can offer seva kitchen-starting from sabji cutting to cleaning floors. Secondly serve / feed cows. Distributing Srila Prabhupad books is the biggest seva one can ever do to humanity.
