Hare Krishna to all the devotees
All glories to srila Prabhupada
As we know that mother laxmi came out of garbhodak sagar, and is eternal consort of lord Vishnu, it means ocean in a way is father in law of lord Vishnu,
Similarly mother parvati is the daughter of Himalayas where lord shiva resides,
So technically isn't both lord shiva and lord Vishnu Ghar jamai?

Hare Krishna.
Such discussions are always sweet because they remind us how wonderfully playful and affectionate our scriptures can be! Technically speaking, we may try to fit divine pastimes into human family terms like ghar-jamai, but the Lord’s relationships are far beyond our material categories. Still, thinking in this humorous way is a nice way to relish their līlā.
Lakṣmī Devī manifests from the ocean, and Pārvatī Devī is the daughter of Himālaya, so from a human angle it may look like both Lord Viṣṇu and Lord Śiva are “sons-in-law.” But in reality, all these personalities—Lakṣmī, Viṣṇu, Śiva, Pārvatī, the ocean and the mountains are eternal expansions of the Lord’s own energies. There is no difference between Lord and his abode.
Still, imagining the Lord in these affectionate family roles is a sweet way to appreciate their loving relationships. Just as devotees sometimes call Kṛṣṇa “Makhan-chor” with affection. Hari Hari.
but generally ghar jamais don't own the ghar.
all the material manifestation owes its origin to the shambhu tattva so lord shiva owns all matter in a sense.
the driving force that manifests the mahat tattva into material worlds etc. is maha vishnu .. so in a sense vishnu owns all matter too.
Or maybe actually the in laws are living with them, I think that can be a more rational theory.
That is also correct, prabhuji
Also but if we just take the view of them living with their in-laws , especially where there I laws ARE , I think they can be said to be ghar jamai, no?
