My 6 year old son was gifted a beautiful vigrah of Ram Lalla by HG Sri Gaur Prabhu, he is temple Vice President of ISKCON Dwarka in Delhi.
Now, the Vigrah has bow and arrow, and arrow was fixed in the thumb. I accidently broke the thumb and could not find the broken thumb.
Now Bow, Arrow is here and there, you know kids, and the thumb of Vigrah is broken. However, I have kept the Vigrah in my temple.
What should I do with the Vigrah now, as the thumb is broken?

The Lord is very merciful and knows our heart’s intentions. In our Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition, if a vigrah is broken in such a way that it becomes difficult or inappropriate for worship. The vigrah is considered unsuitable for regular worship, then as per tradition, one should respectfully retire the vigrah. The suggested way is to wrap the vigrah in new cloth, preferably a cotton cloth, and place it in a river or some body of water.
Before retiring the vigrah, you may sincerely request forgiveness from Lord Sri Ram for any unintentional offence, and thank Him for allowing you to serve. You can chant some prayers or simply offer heartfelt words. If you are not comfortable doing the procedure yourself, you might consult with your local ISKCON temple or directly connect with Sri Gaur Prabhuji again for more guidance.
Please do not worry. What pleases the Lord most is genuine devotion and a sincere heart, not elaborate rituals. You are already showing your love by caring so much about this matter.
May Lord Ramchandra bless your family always with devotion and happiness.
Hare Krsna prabhu,

What is the dhatu of the vigraha? Is it metal/ marble/ mud/ anything else?

Hare Krishna Mataji, Ram Lalla vigrah is made of mud only, dark coloured one.
Hare Krsna Prabhu,
PAMHO.
Very rightly suggested by Gayatri mataji.
Other option is to remove from altar and keep in showcase.

If it is made of mud you can do visarjan of it into a flowing river.
