Committing offense to the Holy Names will stunt your growth of Love for Godhead.

Remember that Krishna is always talking to you.. Pay attention. Did you feel a pain in the bottom or your stomach or elsewhere... when you are instructing them? giving clear indication that you are doing something wrong. Perhaps a child in the background will shout "no". As you grow in Krishna Consciousness you will realize this special one on one Loving relationship with all of us who choose Him as our #1 Priority.

If you pay attention to Krishna Paramatma, He will guide you to avoid mistakes/offenses before you may commit offenses. Giving you time to choose or reject committing an offense.

If it is an offense to teach the faithless, the glories of the Holy Names, then how are we to preach?

Haridas Takore explains this predicament on how to go about preaching love for Krishna.

"This the way by which the whole world will be inundated

with the chanting of the holy name: with loud congregational

chanting, the holy name is to be propagated widely among the

masses. Those who are faithful will come forward and choose a

bona fide spiritual master, receiving instructions and initiation

in the name from him. By sincere chanting they will surely

obtain love of Godhead, Krsnaprema.

Hare Krishna.

I remain ever prostrated unto the Lotus Feet of Srila Prabhupada who went to the USA and stayed among hippy groups and made them Happy groups there by making Bhagavan Ji more Happy.

In fact the first set of groups to be advised and channelized to Krishna Bhakti are the most fallen of the fallen. Because they are the greatest creators of silent agony for Bhagavan Sankarshana who resides in every living body's heart as Paramatma Lord micromanaging the wanderings and colossally tolerating abuses at such large scales of sinning being intoxication, meat eating, illicit sex (even if it is mental and artificial as an aftermaths to intoxication).

Go after them at all risk and relieve Bhagavan Sankarshana of His colossal tolerance at any cost. He will work through you.

All humans are sentimental beings. hard sell to them as to how they are taking for granted the very Person who has more than 80 % control of their own very bodies. Any body will understand.

I have been continuing to talk with them. They are honest, so I do know that they have not stopped taking intoxicants and eating meat. However, all of our conversations are on the Supreme Lord and his energies.

I pray that eventually these people will turn completely back to Lord Krishna. They seem very nice, I just dont understand why they can't follow the 4 principles. They did not know that onions and garlic should not be offered to the Lord. So many things they have never heard of, but I feel blessed to have shown them something new about our Lord.

Thank you to everyone who has posted, giving me much inspiration to continue to preach.

Hare Krsna devotee, the word offensive is used for the sanskrit term aparadha.

apa radha, apa-without radha- affection.

Radha means love and devotion.

Without Radha there is no way of understanding Krsna.

Faith, unflinching trust in the divinity is a limb of that love.

Aversion to God and faithlessness is therefore called offensive.

An inocent but ignorant person is a fit candidate for hearing about Radha Krsna.

An envious and ignorant person is fit to be avoided just as by feeding a snake milk it only increases its poison so the more the offensive hear the glory of God the more they deride Him.

They are called aparadhis, offenders.

Hare Krishna dear Devotees, Please accept my humble obeisances! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

As we know from Srimad Bhagavatam that we live here in this material world from time immemorial. At least in this universe for more that 2 milliard years. It means we changed dozens of bodies and cultivated endless material desires. But when we come to KC Krishna somehow stops our karma and takes our destination to His own responsibility.

But when we offend the Holy Names and Vaishnavas Krishna gives us back to the hand of Mother Durga. It means our material desires attack us again. With material desires we lost taste to the Holy Names, to the association of Devotees...

But Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita that even my Devotee from his weakness does something not good, you should consider him as a mahatma. Because every time when he performs sin he thinks and regrets saying: oh when at least i will stop my offensive, sinful life.

If we see such like Devotees we should not hurt them but pray for them keeping a distance.

Dear Antonio Prabhu.. To untangle our selves from the paradox, the master of paradox Shri Krishna has presented us with so many Vedas. By accepting and studying the Vedas with the help of a spiritual master.. We will come to know the true path and who Krishna is and our relationship towards him is.

Those that have studied the Vedas are spiritually uplifted and are capable of teaching others about Krishna. This is not a superficial position, and they certainly don't feel that they are superior to others. They are entrusted by the word of God in the direct Disciplic succession from Krishna himself. There is no need for blind faith as the Vedas are presented by the Spiritual Master Srila Prabhupada As It Is i.e. no adulteration of Krishna's words has been done. You may find the Vedas and hopefully become a Vedanta yourself by studying these Vedas at http://vedabase.net/

Hare Krsna David prabhu, devotees it is said are more merciful than Krsna because they don't discriminate who is fit and who isn't.

The devotee sees they are devotee also and by mercy of guru and vaisnavas I am saved from this ognorance of maya otherwise there is no difference between them and me.

So devotee will think how we can help our brothers who are forgetful and covered with ignorance.

We encourage anyone who has even a very small faith to chant Hare Krsna and hear about Krsna.

Never mind they are so degraded, that is not a disqualification.

When Srila Prabhupada first came to USA he did not tell about 4 rules until after they were initiated!

Let them come and associate to chant and hear Krsna katha and take prasadam.

I have personaly seen that some may take years and when their heart becomes more softened by KC they develop the required detachment by the mercy of the Lord.

As long as they do not become offensive to the devotees they will make progress in KC.

Material attachment is not so bad as offensivness to Krsna and vaisnavas.

And in kali yuga nearly everyone is under the modes of passion and ignorance so its no surprise if they are addicted to sinful activity.

Just make sure they are not going to become offensive by you preaching to them as that will not help them.

And be careful of the offensive pretenders who will try to expoit your kindness. Hare Krsna

Vaishnavas or aspiring Vaishnavas are very compassionate and risk even hardship so that others may find Krishna.. It's difficult to know when it's wrong to encourage a mayavadi to chant the Maha Mantra etc. Who know if what you say may change his life? You be compassionate and go on encouraging Krishna Consciousness... but if they are abusive to Krishna or disrespect Krishna.. rather leave them..
