International student's Devotional life.

Hare krsna...dandavat pranam to the lotus feet of all the Vaisnavas. I'm currently studying in Australia. It has been almost 5 months living here. As an international student, everybody here has to work for the livelihood and the expenses are really high. I've been practicing krsna consciousness since 3 and half years now and I've been regularly chanting 16 rounds and following the 4 regulative principles as well. I really don't want to waste this valuable human form of life in something else than bhakti. However, for maintaining my expenses and livelihood, I've been working at kitchen section. I tried searching for jobs but I didn't get any so I've been working in resaurant. Unfortunately, I have to involve in preparing meat and all. It's been really hard for me doing this activity. Sometimes tears come out from eyes while working and sometimes I go to the washroom and cry. I beg for forgiveness with those innocent animals. Sometimes while working I say I'm sorry Krsna.

This has really been very hard for me. To be honest I've no idea what I wanna ask with you all. But could you kindly please give any instructions you want to share with me? Thank you to all the devotees for giving time to read this.

Hare Krsna dandavat pranam to all the Vaisnavas.

Vancha Kalpa Taru vyascha, Kripa sindhu vya eva cha, Patitanam Pavanevyo Vaisnavevyo Namo Nama.

    Hare Krsna,

    PAMHO.

Have you tried to locate nearest ISKCON Temple? Please visit and find out whether it is possible to get accomodation and service in the temple or at any congregation close to you. I can understand it is really hard to deal with non veg after coming to Krsna Consciousness.

Please change your job. Continue your sadhana with full devotion.

    Haribol,

    your servant,

  • I do a specific prayer to Sri Jahvani devi (Lord Nityananda concort) she is basically the good type of lakshi devi :) Whenever i have bad luck in jobs I prayer to Her. But you have to be consistent with the prayers, for example if you stop after you get a job it can go either bad or good. I would suggest keep up the prayers for maybe 1 year or so till everything is better or 3-6 months at least. This is the prayer.. it takes only 1 minunte each round 108 when you get into the practise. Not a lot of time to spend really to get a good job, In the past i just couldnt get a job then a devotee suggessted i do these special prayers daily. So for example 3 rounds (do on your fingers no japa mala), you will get good luck as i did getting a job. Within 2 weeks or so. Be a little patient..

    Shrim Jahnavi Devyaya Namah.

Dont bother googling anything about it. Its not online anywhere. Good Luck. Please let me know how it goes here please. Hare Krishna!

  • there is no denying the fact that you are accumulating bad karma.

You could try something drastic ..like skipping meals to save up till you find suitable job while praying to the Lord of our lives all the time.

This might work as Krishna does relish the drasticity of situations..
