"If I let go of my ego and realize that I’m not separate from Krsna, does that mean my love for Him disappears, since love typically relies on the separation between the lover and the beloved? And if there's no separation, how can I still love myself, or even love Krsna, when we are one?"

enhances love—so why are you denying its importance?
I am only saying that love does not rely on separation

Dear Bharat Prabhu ji,
how can I still love myself, or even love Krsna, when we are one?
Person is expressing his doubt how can it be possible to love Krishna when there is oneness. Maybe his English is not so great and he is not able to expresss in words what he is feeling... let him express his doubt. he is learning. Please don't label every person here as mayavaad and sahjiya and ask them to leave. They mayebe future great devotees. Be considerate and humble in your dealing with potential canditates. This person is having... rasa or bhava maybe love for krishna we are the judge to his bhakti. We cannot judge anyone by one or two question. A layman who never read anything any Scripture could be having bhakti more than you and me. We don't need all these to become a bhakt. All we need a humble heart and even a cobbler is a great devotee in Krishna's eyes than a learned scholar.
It looks like you are calling me Sahjiya and mayvaadi now. I don't understand how can I be a Sahjiya and mayavaadi?
I am Sri Vaishava by birth and my 20 + yrs ( in this life time) have been labelled as sahjiya and mayavaadi ?
You are finding faults in everybody now. Which is not good to you as well in the progress of bhakti.
Just relax and try to be humble as you are representing an organization and don't give the neophyte devotees a wrong impression about ISKCON. Maybe you can cooly explain this is wrong kid try to learn this way. It will is the correct method.
just simply bluntly saying this is wrong... you are a mayavaadi, you are sahjiya get out of the forum, you are not welcomed here go away no good.
I think Govind sharan is a kid and is really into bhakti he is asking good questions and trying to learn. You must give him time.
Looks like you have been dealing with too many mayavaadi's lately and you are seeing now everyone as a mayavaad.
including me ( as a sahjiya??) omg.
I can leave the forum. If you think so.
Hare Krishna.

Where have I called you Mayavadi or Sahajiya ?
Hare Krsna
Hmm if you are not then fine. But don not scare the kid.
he is learning something. We need such devotees and their association inspires us to open books. Otherwise we have here is someone advertising gambling, someone advertising their apps. nothing much.
and you have asked a valid question now. Lets see what he will come up with.
This is becoming a knowledgeable discussion.
Thanks Hare Krishna
Many points are coming up.
Hare Krsna Mataji
He wrote this statement -> See prabhu, we cannot stick to one bhāva by compulsion. We all have different bhāva and different rasa
.Kids don't talk about such things mataji.
ādau śraddhā tataḥ sādhu-
saṅgo ’tha bhajana-kriyā
tato ’nartha-nivṛttiḥ syāt
tato niṣṭhā rucis tataḥ
athāsaktis tato bhāvas
tataḥ premābhyudañcati
sādhakānām ayaṁ premṇaḥ
prādurbhāve bhavet kramaḥ
In the beginning there must be 1.faith. Then one becomes interested in 2. associating with pure devotees. Thereafter one is initiated by the spiritual master and 3.executes the regulative principles under his orders. Thus one is 4.freed from all unwanted habits and 5.becomes firmly fixed in devotional service. Thereafter, 6.one develops taste and 7.attachment. This is the way of sādhana-bhakti, the execution of devotional service according to the regulative principles. 8.Gradually emotions intensify, and finally there is an 9.awakening of love. This is the gradual development of love of Godhead for the devotee interested in Kṛṣṇa consciousness.(CC Madhya 23.14-15)
These are the 9 stages of bhakti. I know hundreds of devotees who have been practicing for decades that do not claim to have surpassed the 4th stage of anartha nivritti. Bhava is the 8th stage just one below final stage of Prema. Just to give one example of how elevated this stage is -In Bhagavatam, Bharat Maharaj, son of the Supreme personality of Godhead Lord Rishabhadev at his highest stage of sadhana is considered to be in the stage of Bhava. He was sole emperor of whole planet, he gave up his kingdom, loving wife, chidren, comforts, servants, wealth, fame luxury went to forest alone and performed severe austerities for many years. Due to some unfortunate incident, he had to take rebirth as deer despite being in stage of Bhava. That is how rare Bhava stage is
Here he is saying - "everybody has different bhava & rasa" , REALLY ? Which kid talks about "sticking to bhava by compulsion" ?
He asked this -> clarify how the concept of love requiring separation aligns with acintya-bhedābheda?
This is height of dichotomy. Acintya bhedabheda is most highest philosophical tattva that Lord Sri Chaitany has given. This philosophical tattva focuses on harmonising Krsna's personality with His energies. The philosophy itself does not directly address the concept of rasa even remotely.
Love in separation on the other hand is the highest rasa which is not focussed or described in Sri Sampradaya, Rudra Samradaya, and branches of Brahma sampradaya other than Gaudiya Sampradaya. Highest most elevated devotees of these other sampradayas do not discuss love in separation.
Sri Cahitanya Mahaprabhu is the highest proponent of Both Acintya Bheda Abheda Tattva and Love in Separation. Show me one example in which Lord Sri Chaintanya Mahaprabhu discuss both these topics with same person at same time ?
Lord Chaitanya discussed about tattva with Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya, Rupa & Sanatana Goswami etc. As far as I know there is no record of Lord Chaitanya discussing about rasa during His conversations with them. Lord Chaitanya discussed rasa tattva with Svarup Damodar, Ramananda Raya, Gadadhar pandit etc. As far as I know He never discussed Acintya Bhedabheda tattva while he discussed rasa. If there is a discussion let such reference be provided.
It is not natural for these two topics to be talked about in same discussion especially for those struggling with mind and senses.
There is complete alignment with these high level philosophy & rasa, but it is not common for someone who is neither clear about love nor about difference between jiva & bhagavan, to ask such questions innocently.
I did not call anyone as mayavadi or Sahajiya , but i pointed out the statements that are very characteristic of mayavada & sahajiya practice.
It is very hard for me see these things as innocent queries of kid. I could be wrong. If I am I seek forgiveness.
Hare Krsna
Thanks, bharat prabhu. Hari Hari.
So, you mean I shouldn't have even told about Achintya abedha bedha tattva at all in the first place and say outrightly. This is bogus you are mayavaadi. This whole fight started by me. Isn't it?
Hare Krishna Mataji
Why shouldn't you tell about acintya bheda-abheda tattva philosophy of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu? It is the Supreme Truth. In every stage it holds true from ignorance to love of Godhead. But, we must remember it is acintya which means inconceivable. In theory, we may nicely appreciate that we are the same in quality but different in quantity. But, what exactly is this quality or quantity. We do not know, it is acintya, inconceivable. Unless we accept it is inconceivable, we cannot realize it.
Hari Bol
Looks like this Krishna belongs to only Gaudiya Sampradaya and no other sampradayas can have access to Krishna or have any prema for Him. They cannot develop any rasa or bhava for Krishna even if they have been practicing bhakti for many years. Just because they have taken birth in Sri Sampradaya family and got intiated into Sri Sampradaya they are not eligible for understanding gaudiya philosophy or they wont develop prema stage never.
I think Kṛṣṇa is the supreme lovable object. He is not cruel if we get initiated into another sampradaya. He will accept you. Hari Hari.
