Hare Krishna.Pranam to all devotees.Recently i attended a class given by a very senior godbrother of mine.In the class, he mentioned about the jivas falling from  Krishnaloka due to our enviousness towards Krishna. We are actually part and parcel of Krishna. Thus, we came to the material world just to realize that Krishna is Bhagavan and we are eternally his servants.

True enough. Suddenly, a new bhakta asked " Krishna loka is supposed to be perfect...why is there such a quality in Krishnaloka? My godbrother said that our main goal now is to go back to krishnaloka. We can deal with the hows and whys later...

Quite a reasonable answer but i will appreciate if anyone could pls answer the question with maybe some other quotations or explanations...

JAI JAGANNATH.

    Hare krishna..

  • Dandavats to all prabhujis and matajis..

I was expecting some sharp replies from the seniors here after my post :-( especially from maral mataji as she seems to be ubiquitous here..

I guess everybody has agreed on the point that we've come from the marginal position.Biggest factor for this notion is the quote from jaiva dharma, but we can't ignore the fact that the book isn't translated by srila prabhupada and moreover the crucial thing "the purport " is missing there.Distortion of facts can't be completely ruled out ..i guess owing to our four deficiencies..

Also please enlighten me on this--how can we go "back" to some place[back to godhead] from where we haven't come?

Begging for a reply from the esteemed devotees ..

    your aspiring servant..

    • Hare Krishna to all dear devotees.

Even I(being a neophyte)  was looking for some good explanation for this. But eventually I got somewhat settled with answer from one of the devotee.

      And here is an example..

" So lets say a pure soul (A)  who is in spiritual world since time immemorial comes in contact with another soul(B) who has gone through all material miseries for millions of birth and goes back to spiritual world"

Now soul B says to soul A " Material world has so much of sufferings I would never want to go back there , I want to be always with Krishna"

The soul A's inquisitiveness increases more and thinks what is this "SUFFERING" how is it like, why was soul B talking like this. And as soon as he desires to know more about this "SUFFERING", Krishna gives him a chance to experience it and he falls down to material world.

It's like you have been eating Laddu for many years (you don't know the other tastes like bitterness, sour ) and somebody comes and tell you "please never eat Karela, it's very bitter". You would think, what is bitterness , let me try it.

As mentioned in BG, once you have  gone through this material world suffering , you would never want to experience it again, So Krishna promises "Once you come to my abode, you will never have to come back again in this material world".

So it to me I understand it as..

Initially there is nothing  to do with enviousness towards Krishna. Yes, eventually because being considering our self as material body (after fall down) we become envious towards Krishna (each one at different level).

Please forgive my for my ignorance.

      More solid explanations/examples are appreciated

      Hare Krishna

  • Humble obeisances to everybody..

With due respect i want to ask if we haven't come from Goloka, then what's the meaning of going back to Godhead(which is Goloka or is it not!!!)

The discussion by bhakt salvadores seems to tell that we start of from the marginal line.

So a part and parcel of krishna is on marginal line without commiting the first offence??

      Please accept my humble obeisances!

      All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
Because we are part and parcel of Krishna it means we are from Spiritual world. Because Krishna never leave Spiritual world. So we are from there and not from there. It is inconceivable. Especially to our unideal senses.

It is impossible to understand it fully. Impossible.

But Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita that we will go back home. It means Goloka is our Home and we have to go there. Any intelligent man if stops for a while and thinks of his or her life will understand that this world is just suffering.

We do not like to work hard but want to have money and have vacations, we do not want to wake up early mornings but sleep enjoy, we want to eat but over eating brings pain, we love some people but some day they leave us, we want always to be young but every day increases our wrinkles on our skin, we want this and that but everything is going on opposite to our desires.

So we are fully suffering in this world. But if understanding this just take our Japa Mala and chant our rounds attentively we will feel the reality.

Holy Names are not simple sound vibrations. Before coming to Krishna Consciousness i used to sing many songs of karmi signers but never felt any taste in my heart as like it happens with the Holy Names.

      Taste is there!

      Life is there!

Joy is there in the Holy Names.

When we chant by the mercy of the Lord some day we will see the spiritual world. We will see Krishna. We will see them all. But we are not able to see all that because we have suspicions to the words of our dear Friend Krishna.

Krishna is person. He also has feelings and willings. Put Yourself to His place for some time and see Your own suspicious  mood to His words. You will become sad.

In this way we do not trust to Krishna He is not revealing Himself to us in the form of His Holy Names and form.

So conclusion is: Shastras say and when we experiment what shastras say we will get confirmation of what they say. And in this way our faith will grow. But we have to be patient. As like if we buy a ship ticket to US we have to pay huge amount of money, isn't it? We do that because we trust to the words of the ticket company. They say that they will take and we trust. In this way Krishna is saying the ticket is to chant the Holy Names and money is faith. And He will take us to Goloka.

      Your servant,
