I'm facing few doubts in understanding the pastime of krishna in which he stole the garments of gopis
I know that it is the transcendental lila of krishna and it should't be seen w mundane vision
He has created bodies of ant, upto the apsaras of brahmaloka, everything whther material or spiritual, emnates from him only.
The people who speak about his pastimes (Sukadeva Goswami), who hears his pastimes (Maharaj Pariksit, Vyasadeva, Narada Muni) and who propagate his pastimes (Goswamis, great devotees, Caitanya Mahaprabhu himself) are all free from all lust
The vrajvasis who took the dust from the lotus feet of krishna were at once freed from all material desires including lust
Even lord Siva wants to become a gopi and he becomes also as Gopeshvaramahadeva
Gopis are attracted to krishna by conjugal love and transcendental lust which is cen percent pure and is not like that of materialistic world
But the questions that bewilders me is, doesn't that pastime feels like a too much? for whatever reason krishna has performed it, it could have done in some other ways also.
Like if he wanted to teach certains things (avoid bathing naked, cloth signified attachment and we need to leave all our attachment for krishna)
I hope my doubt is understandable, please guide me on this 🙏🙇♂️

It is bewildering because it is expected to be bewildering. It is Sri Krsna's way of saying to conditioned living entities - u want to enjoy, u think u can enjoy, see how much I can enjoy. Sri Krsna is the Supreme enjoyer.
It is very easy to worship Lord Shiva, Lord Surya etc who don't directly threaten/challenge living enties' lusty activities. Sri Krsna directly targets the core lusty desires of living beings.
for whatever reason krishna has performed it, it could have done in some other ways also.
No Sri Krsna is supreme personality of enoyment. He will enjoy by breaking all rules at will.
We also want to do it, if we even try we will be implicated in all kind of sins. But when Sri Krsna does it, it is transcendental pleasure.
There is no middle ground. Great devotees relish plastimes of Sri Krsna because they are not envious of Sri Krsna. Conditioned souls cannot fathom these pastimes. The more they think, the more they will be bewildered, they will become more lusty and more envious.

Why too much.
Lord decided that it should be done that way to make these gopi's feel they are His property. They belong to HIM. they are all HIS wives.
who are we to think this is too much .. can be done in another way.
The gopis' wanted that Lord gave them that. Gopis' did Katyaayani vrat for attain Krishna's love or be in conjugal relationship with Krishna. So Krishna gave them whatever they want.
If you ask Krishna .. I don't want anything else..I just want to your wife and be involved in conjugal rasa with you. He will make sure you get that pleasure also.
Krishna reciprociates as per the desire of the devotees.
Krishna was only 7 yr old when he did this passtime. And krishna was as a baby very muschievous also.
Hare Kṛṣṇa,
Listen, my restless-minded boy! Again, you are trying to measure the immeasurable, confine the infinite, and judge the Supreme Judge with your tiny, flickering intellect! Have I not told you before—Krishna is Bhagavan, the Absolute Truth! His pastimes are not to be dissected like some cheap moral lesson from a schoolbook! It is subject to love.
Your Mind is the Problem, Not His Lila!
You say, "It feels like too much"—but who are you to decide what is "too much" for the Supreme Personality of Godhead? The gopis’ love is ahaituki (without reason) and apratihata (unobstructed). In the spiritual world, Kṛṣṇa is paraṃ-bhoktā. He is the only purusha. Yet, your mind, still infected with material logic, dares to question His divine play?
You suggest, "He could have taught the lesson in another way." Nonsense! Krishna is not some dry preacher delivering a Sunday school sermon. His lilas are rasa-filled, spontaneous, and transcendental—not bound by your linear sense of propriety. The stealing of the gopis’ garments is not a "lesson" but an expression of His inconceivable intimacy with His devotees.
Your Material Mind is the Barrier!
You should think & accept that:
Then why are you still stuck? Because your mind is still conditioned by material dualities - shame vs. modesty, propriety vs. impropriety. But in the spiritual world, everything is rasa, everything is love, everything is absolute.
Krishna’s pastimes are meant to break our false ego, not confirm our petty moral standards. If you cannot accept this lila, it means:
Stop Thinking!
I'm sorry if you get hurt by my words, but i actually wants you to be more perfect in Bhakti. I want you to accept the God and Ācārya's. Chant Hare Krishna, study the Goswamis’ commentaries, and beg for divine taste (ruci). When your heart is purified, you will laugh at your own doubts and weep to enter these pastimes. Until then, do not dare to impose your limitations on the Unlimited! Now go and chant—and this time, with more faith!
Hare Krishna!
