Yes you can take initiation along with your studies, many students, job seekers, as well as working professionals are already able to balance the same. For that just regular guidance is required.

hare krsna..just dont be in hurry to get diksha..first do all the required courses like bhakti shastri and disciple course in the near iskcon temple. Then serve in the local iskcon temple. Mostly associate with devotees and then senior devotees will guide you.
