I believe Prabhupada would really like the weather we are going through. It will be a mild twenty-one degrees Celsius (seventy degrees Fahrenheit) today, and that’s pleasant. He didn’t mind the heat though and the sun. I was blessed to be on a walk with him (and others) at a park in Atlanta. It was February and cold, even for residents there, but he was all bundled up. If I’m not mistaken, he wore the long coat custom made for him in Hawaii by Jaya Sri, an outstanding devotee from the states. S

Statement from the ISKCON North America Council
October 16, 2021
A North American legal case that has lasted almost two decades took a decisive turn in favor of ISKCON this past week. This long-running case, known in ISKCON as the Long Island Court Case, began in 2004 in Freeport, New York. At that time, a group of “ritviks” opposed to the ISKCON Governing Body Commission (GBC) from outside Long Island, through deception and subterfuge, took control of the Long Island ISKCON Temple and the Boa
A soulful new single by gurukuli Hari Kirtan Kaufmann, featuring Lilashakti Sesanti and Vrindavan Favors, blends Krishnadasa Kaviraja Goswami’s Bengali bhajan “Sri Vraja Dhama Mahimamrta” with English spoken word poetry to deeply moving effect. The epic 9-minute track, with its strikingly artistic music video featuring performances from international devotee artists, captures the feeling of hankering after Vrindavan Dhama and devotee association during the pandemic, and the

When we give away mercy, mercy multiplies.
Answering to belated birthday messages is a pleasurable task, really, and in the midst of it I managed to pull together, within minutes, a poem about my still-living siblings and I. There’s no real spiritual content here. It’s light and it serves a purpose. Untitled, here it is.
We’re just a bunch of peachy, beachy kids
“Peach” because we picked them before they hit the skids
We harvested just about everything, you bet
And “beach” because our summers meant getting wet
We had a blast at playing
The Avanti Foundation is pleased to announce its acquisition of Branston Hall, Lincoln, as part of its continued development of well-being and educational resources. The fifty-roomed heritage estate, including a lake and 75 acres of grounds, much of which is arable, will host residential retreats and other events based on Krishna conscious teachings and practice. The aim is to become the country’s leading retreat venue for spiritual nourishment and education and will work in collaboration with
The 20th of September marked the beginning of a new term of school visits after a lull due to the pandemic. The teachers, who brought along 70 children that day, were very eager to experience the arati in the temple room. One said “the arati is so magical and is the most important part of the visit.” She also shared that it is always her favorite trip and she is already looking forward to her next visit next year! She has been visiting the Manor with her school for 12 years now and became veget
First let me begin by offering my respectful obesiences to all the Vaishnava devotees of the Lord, who are so merciful to the fallen conditioned souls that they put themselves in perilous and austere conditions of life voluntarily, in order to help others. And as always, let me offer my most humble obeisances to my beloved spiritual master A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who is very dear to Lord Krishna, haven taken shelter at his Lotus feet.
I had the great fortune to be a part of the His

ISKCON communities are requested to organize local participation in these efforts in support of our fellow Vaishnavas in Bangladesh.

The Bhadra Campaign is a snowball that just keeps gathering size and momentum.
Also known as “Go to Goloka,” the campaign was launched in 2017 by the BBT Marketing, Communications, and Innovations team headed by Vaisesika Das. It’s inspired by the Srimad-Bhagavatam’s statement that “If on the full moon day of the month of Bhadra one places Srimad-Bhagavatam on a golden throne and gives it as a gift, he will attain the supreme transcendental destination.”
It’s also driven by S
Prahlad’s story is described in the 7th Canto of the book, Bhagavatam. He reveals, through the text, his high level of realizations and pandit-ism. With our morning discussion at the Bhakta Prahlad Montessori School in Russell, we delved into the topic of Prahlad’s feeling for others; especially for those who have been unable to channel bhakti through their lives. So being a scholar is one thing, but you also have to have a heart at the same time. True saints are perceptive; they see the world

Our heart is filled with whatever we love the most. As devotees love the Lord the most, we understand that their heart is filled with love for Kṛṣṇa. Yet it remains an esoteric mystery how that love fills and floods their heart, inspiring them to give themselves completely to the Lord, putting aside all other considerations. The more we understand the workings of their heart, the more we can get the inspiration and the direction to make our heart work similarly, even if
It was liberating to get back to giving a Bhagavatam class and also to leading a kirtan at noon in the temple room. Varun came from Ottawa to participate, so did Krishna Chandra, our local yoga instructor. Paramahamsa was also on board. Then, to follow, was the trickle of people for Darshan, or viewing of the Krishna deities.
Covid restrictions have been gradually lifted and so now Saturday and Sunday are open for visitors and congregants to come in and benefit. However, those of us, like mysel

Michael Cremo is on the cutting edge of science and culture issues. In the course of a few month’s time he might be found on pilgrimage to sacred sites in India, appearing on a national television show, lecturing at a mainstream science conference, or speaking to an alternative science gathering. As he crosses disciplinary and cultural boundaries, he presents to his various audiences a compelling case for negotiating a new consensus on the nature of reality,

An ISKCON UK delegation is set to attend COP26, also known as the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, which will run from October 31st to November 12th in Glasgow, Scotland.

Roman and I took the scenic root on Highway 7 through the ancient Shield countryside, then through super-flat but fertile farmland, by car, before we reached the newly acquired farm in Russell, Ontario. It was a drive, not a walk – a five-hour pleasant trip – and it was well worth it. For the time-being we call this a Vaishnava Farm Garden Fest where people from the bhakti spectrum come together to share in the dreams and realities of simpler living.
Roman and I left a warm current Toronto for
