Once Sri Nanda Maharaja, Sri Yasoda and the other gopas and gopis took Krsna and Balarama with them on a journey to the Ganga to take bath. That night, they rested near Govardhana. Krsna questioned the need for them to travel so far when all holy places reside in Vraja. He remembered Ganga-devi, and at once Bhagavati Bhagirathi-Ganga's strong current brought her to the spot, making a sweet sound. At the head of this current was Sri Ganga-devi, mounted on an alligator. This darsana as

PRABHUPADA SPEAKS ABOUT..

'SPIRITUALITY AND FAMILY ATMOSPHERE'

In the Bhagavad-gitä it is stated that those who attempt but do not complete the path of approaching God—in other words, those who have failed to achieve complete success in Krishna consciousness—are given the chance to appear in the families of the spiritually advanced or in financially well-to-do mercantile families. On Srila Prabhupada's Spiritual Revolution

Every devotee has his own relationship with and vision of Srila Prabhupada. Some feel more the aspect of his kind fatherliness, some have an open, friendly relationship, others approach him in great awe and reverence as their worshipful master. Many devotees related to Prabhupada as a transcendental general, the leader of the troops. Personally, I like to meditate on Srila Prabhupada as a revolutionary.

Like many of my generation, from an early age I knew

When Prabhupada was here, we expected the most amazing things to happen.

Prabhupada was a conqueror for Krsna. He always thought big. "Double book distribution every year." "Drive agnosticism out of the world." "Make America

The Influence of Srila Prabhupada

Just see the influence of Srila Prabhupada! Lying on his bed in Vrndavana, at the last stage he was hardly able to move, eat or talk. Yet without even doing anything or going anywhere, he was inspiring his disciples all over the world to distribute his books in unprecedented numbers. His going to London in that condition was another incredible pastime that clearly sets Srila Prabhupada apart from the rest. There, his disciples danced with full enthusiasm before t

Srila Prabhupada's Risks and Difficulties

When we say that a preacher takes risks, it does not just mean physical risks. He also risks his reputation and his own spiritual standing. For instance, giving initiation is a risk, especially to less qualified candidates. For a disciple to fall down is a blot on the guru. Srila Prabhupada took tremendous risks. He initiated, not a few, but several thousand disciples from undisciplined, uncultured backgrounds. He gave sannyasa to unlikely candidates: you
