Association is infectious. It is rightly said - a man is known by the company he keeps. People resort to substance abuse or become alcoholic only because of bad association. So we need to be extremely careful while choosing our companions. We should seek company of those whose life is an emblem of purity and virtue. Such noble souls can easily transform our lives. Narada Muni was the son of a maid servant in his earlier life. But once he got a rare opportunity to associate with the sages for few

THE INNER VOICE

Govardhan Ecovillage, somewhere deep in the interiors of the Wada district, a good 2 hour drive from Mumbai is a treat to nature-starved eyes. Living in the city, with all its traffic jams, water problems, mosquitoes and crowded trains can get on the nerves. Not that i usually love to isolate myself in idyllic surroundings, for i am a person who is born and brought up in the city, i have sort of gotten used to the crowds and the noise pollution!

So sitting in these quiet, tranquil natural surroun

Thought Of The Day

Yahan krsna: wherever Krsna is there. Krsna is absolute. He can be present in His various potencies. He can be present by His name only. Just like we chant Hare Krsna -- He is present, because His name is not different from Him. That is the absolute sense. In relative sense... Suppose somebody calling me in my apartment, "Swamiji." Swamiji is here. The response cannot be. Just like in telephone. Yesterday Raymond was calling us by phone three thousand miles away. As soon as we took the, I mean t

If you can preach vigorously in Poland it will be a great asset. You may come to Vrndavana if you like, but preaching in Poland is my greater interest. So, now Vrndavana is somehow being managed. Now the most important work is that side in the Communist countries. If you can do something there, it is more than if you come here. Our business is to glorify Krsna as the Lord of Vrndavana and to popularize Lord Caitanya Ma

Thought Of The Day

Krsna is the original sun; therefore wherever Krsna is present there cannot be any ignorance or illusion. Darkness is compared with ignorance, illusion, sleeping, laziness, intoxication, madness; these are all darkness. One who is in the quality of darkness, these things will be visible in his person: too much sleepy, lazy, ignorant. Just opposite, the opposite number of knowledge. So these are called darkness. So if actually one is in Krsna consciousness, these qualities will be not visible in

by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada

Srila Prabhupada

This very important Krsna consciousness movement is meant to save human society from spiritual death. At present human society is being misled by leaders who are blind, for they do not know the aim and objective of human life, which is self-realization and the reestablishment of our lost relationship with the Supreme Personality of Godhead. That is the missing

Srila Prabhupada vani

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

"Some people complain that when they pray to God they do not feel His presence. We should know that this is due to our incapacities, not God's... The physical conception is temporary, whereas the vibrational conception is eternal.

When we enjoy or relish the vibration of Krishna's teachings in Bhagavad-gita, or when we chant Hare Krishna, we should know that by those vibrations He is immediately
 present. He is absolute,
