A Folklore on Srila Prabhupad

Had you not been there

I would have been a tree

Without even a root

Nowhere to put my foot

Brought out the Chariot

Letting all pull the lariat

Of the great Lord God

With thousands cheer and laud

To know you gave books

Filled not just with words

But with powerful message

And the ultimate knowledge

Your wisdom has flooded

At large, the barren world

My senses too small

To take and hold it full.

That which taken as well,

To practice, I am unable!

Prabhupad, unto you my Master,

I bow down and surrender.

Selfless soul

Sometimes we are asked where the Golden Bricks come from; who makes them? Well, they are made right here in Sridhama Mayapur at the Vishwakarma Workshop run by His Grace Sriman Dina Chaitanya prabhu. Each brick goes through a time-consuming and painstaking process to make it suitable for use on the new Pancha Tattva altar, undergoing various stages of production including sandblasting the names of donors onto them.

Watch this short video for a step-by-step explanation of how this is all done an

The Glories of Govardhan

The Glories of Govardhan giridhari.jpg

To protect his dear vrajavasis from Indra’s wrath, Sri Krishna held the Hill on the small finger of His divine hand for seven days. The area of Govardhan is f

Holi, or the Festival of Colors, which heralds spring and celebrates the pastimes of Lord Krishna and his eternal consort Srimati Radharani, was once an esoteric festival celebrated mainly in India.

But today, thanks to festivals like the one at the Hare Krishna temple in Utah, USA, it has become a phenomenon across the Western World.

The latest country to host the event is Brazil, with last year’s hugely successful “Festival das Cores” drawing 25,000 people to Villa Lobos Park in Sao Paulo.
