Thought Of The Day

This is spiritual life. When we are not at all concerned with this body, material body, that is the beginning of spiritual life. And so long we are interested with the dead lump of matter without any information of the spirit soul within it, that is material life. This is the difference between material life and spiritual life.

Most of us are familiar with the name Bhagavad Gita – the Eternal song (Gita) of the Lord (Bhagavan – Shri Krishna). The similarity between Bhagavad Gita & Vibheeshana Gita is that, both were sung by the Lord and that too in the battlefield. Yet there is a difference. Lord Krishna gives the knowledge of the Self in Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna because Arjuna, despite of having the best of skills and knowledge, loses his identity and purpose of living at the time of war. To such an individual who is f

Thought Of The Day

So the Krsna consciousness movement is very important movement. It is neither manufactured nor unauthorized. It is authorized, the oldest. Yogah proktah puratanah. Krsna said to Arjuna that "I am repeating the same yoga, puratanam. Krsna does not say that "I am manufacturing another system of yoga." No. "I am speaking to you the same yoga system."

The most ancient literature revealed by Supreme God for mankind through the Sages namely the Rigveda proclaims that ‘Ekam Sat Vipra Bahudha Vadanti’ which means the Supreme God is one, however wise people in different parts of the world call and worship him by different names as per their realizations. Quotes-by-Bhakti-Charu-Swami-on-Getting-Rid-of-the-Impurities-of-the-Heart

After the last blog on `demons in Krishna Lila‘ I thought let me share more anarthas as described in detail in Madhurya kadambini, I also took the help of VIHE book ‘demons in Vrindavana Lila’ to write this blog. This topic also connects with the earlier blog How to change our heart.

At one level we hear that bhakti is causeless meaning that there is no cause for bhakti (like pious deeds, austerity, penance, etc.), bhakti is independent. I heard a beautif

Thought Of The Day

One who has got this divya-jnana, vasudevah sarvam iti sa mahatma, that is mahatma. But that is very, very rare. Otherwise, mahatma like me, they are loitering in the street. That is. So you should always remember this word, divya-jnana hrde prakasito. And because the spiritual master enlightens the divya-jnana, one feels obliged to him. Yasya prasadad bhagavat-prasado yasya prasadan na gatih kuto 'pi **. So this guru-puja essential. As the Deity worship essential... It is not cheap adoration. I

Quotes-by-Srila-Prabhupada-on-Presence-of-The-Soul

A very happy Nityananand Trayodasi to all the readers, I prayed to Lord Nityanananda for everyone today.

These days I am listening to multiple seminars on Sri Brahma Samhita by senior Vaishanavas. Listening to them is indeed a high point in my tiny devotional life so to speak, most surprisingly they match with whatever I am reading in Srimad Bhagavatam currently (canto 3). So many verses and their purports in Srimad Bhagavatam, and more so in Brahma Samhita, w
