Interesting question! Since I have been in ISKCON over 50 years, when I came to Mayapur there was a grass hut, now there are 7,500 devotees. What will happen in 50 more years? Śrīla Prabhupāda said we should have 50,000 devotees here! When I joined ISKCON I had visited every temple in ISKCON – all three!! San Francisco, New York and Montreal. But now I don’t think it is possible, there are 600 or 800. I don’t know if they count all the outposts and namahattas. In India, I know there are 5,000 n

Manitou Springs – they call it 'The Dead Sea of Canada'. Because the waters at Little Manitou Lake have a hight content of magnesium, sodium, and potassium salts, you can float effortlessly. Receding glaciers formed this long and narrow lake that 's fed by underground springs.

We are here for two days to feel the sensation of buoyancy on the water. You walk in the liquid and suddenly your legs automatically kick up and you can't help, but float. The salinity level is five times higher than the

Comfort came from seeing people at the book table asking for Bhagavad-gitas in the various languages – English, Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati. The festival site for the finish line of the chariot procession was at the ISKCON location of the Radha Govinda Cultural Association, and their attendees gravitated to the various stalls. I would say it was a marvellous turnout, perhaps just under 4000 people, young, old, and in between.

The procession was lively with chanters and dancers led by a couple of Cly

“Prabhupada was now surrounded by devotees, and I brought out the photo package prepared by Ramesvara Maharaja, which detailed the magnificent observance of Ratha-yatra by the disciples in Los Angeles.  Prabhupada became ecstatic seeing the bright, colorful photos, which were as good as a movie.  As he examined each, he seemed to be diving deeper and deeper into an ocean of nectar.  Of the photo showing hundreds of people waiting in line to see the doll exhibit, he triumphantly stated, ‘I told

Cool Waters by Bhaktimarga Swami

It was on our bucket list to dip into the cool waters of Lake Sylvan at 5:30 am. The weather report told us of 30-plus degree weather the two previous days. The heat spell was definitely on, but then the forecast changed. The latest report revealed low temperatures of 10 degrees Celsius, so we changed our minds about going to the lake.

Despite the cool air coming off the lake, a Russian family and Fijian family met at a beach shelter. We made a commitment to meet a local man in his late fifties

It was time to bid farewell to the devotees of Calgary, and the hour arrived when we were destined to move on to Red Deer. Mahadeva, Annapurna, and I were driven by an enthusiastic, and younger than me, Satyavrata, to his home turf in Red Deer. With these travels, our accommodation and meals were covered.

As mentioned in one of our recent discussions with newbies to Krishna in Thunder Bay, "We eat prasadam, which is food blessed and then consumed. God (Krishna) gets first serving then there are

The last verse which Arjuna speaks in Bhagavad Gita, has many gems for us.

अर्जुन उवाच

नष्टो मोहः स्मृतिर्लब्धा त्वत्प्रसादान्मयाच्युत।

स्थितोऽस्मि गतसन्देहः करिष्ये वचनं तव।।18.73।।

Arjuna said: My dear Krishna, O infallible one, my illusion is now gone. I have regained my memory by Your mercy. I am now firm and free from doubt and am prepared to act according to Your instructions.

Now let us try to churn this verse.

My dear Kṛṣṇa: Krishna is our dear friend , suhṛdaṁ sarva-bhūtānāṁ , actually
